  1. Has anyone seen an example of one of the new confrontation plastics? If the quality is there what difference does it make? Rackham are also doing metal minis. Looks like GW style. Plastic for troops, metal for characters. Sounds like people moaning for the sake of moaning.

  3. Living legends the both of them. Amazing how the style hasn't really changed all these years.
  4. That taxxis chick looks drunk, tripping or those panties are to tight and riding up. Not a fan.
  5. Welcome along. I think we are all looking forward to seeing the rules.
  6. Glad for the coverage. The number of companies there is mind boggling! Is this the major event for the year or do they run others elsewhere as well? The painting comp looks quality as well.
  7. Nice to see Eric doing so well. I am looking forward to seeing his pictures as well since the GW pics are so often seen as being substandard.
  8. Pretty cool to hear Nathans voice, seems to give more of a connection to who we deal with. Nice to to see the WYRD line is increasing so well.
  9. It's times like this that I am so jealous of all you North of the equator peeps. I have nothing to compare in my area. Hope you all have a cool time. I am really looking forward to see Eric's GD winners when he gets back.
  10. Great stuff! The goggles are really well especially, love them.
  11. Oh I think I likey enough to buy! I want to paint something in that scale and that really looks like something I would enjoy.
  12. nice. Liking a few of their lines. Just won't be buying any (to much other stuff to paint!)
  13. 1) Favorite: Color of paint (the specific paint color listed on the lable) Burnt Umber. 2) Favorite: Brand of paint Games workshop 3) Favorite: Sculptor Jes Goodwin (really the guy who got me hooked in) 4) Favorite: Painter Just one? Romilly Brown (he who first taught me which end of the brush to use 18 years or so ago. I don't know if he still paints but the boy had talent). Of the people you will know I would say YellowOne would just edge out a very tightly pasked bunch (sounds a bit rude!) 5) Favorite: Mini Company (other than Wyrd, we all know it's everyones #1) Uncool I know but GW still does it for me. 6) Painting Preference: Metalics vs. NMM Either. 7) Mini Preference: Fantasy vs. Sci Fi Sci-fi 8) Mini Preference: Male vs. Female Male 9) Mini Preference: Human vs. Monstrous Monstrous 10) Favorite: Paint Brush you use the most W&N series 7 size 0 11) Favorite: Paint Job You've Done (provide link if possible) 12) Favorite: Paint Job Ever (provide link if possible) Coolmini's down at the mo so I will come back to this one. 13) Desire: A mini company from which you've never painted a mini, but want to Enigma 14) Desire: A mini you most want to paint, but haven't Wraithlord 15) Favorite: Mini related forum (again, other than your obvious favorite; Wyrd) coolminiornot 16) Favorite: Site you find most useful in terms of helping learn mini painting/Sculpting coolminiornot - when I got back into painting it was the articles which really started me actually working on my painting from a technical viewpoint. 17) Desire: A sculpt you would love to see, but doesn't yet exist Ummmmmmm. I dun know. 18) Ambition: What would you most like to achieve in the painting hobby I would love to be able to make a living from it but know I can't. A Gold statue from GD would be something I feel I could achieve. 19) Least Favorite: Thing you most dislike about mini painting (think eyestrain, back ache, being socially outcast, lost time, costs, etc...) That feeling when you are 75% done and realise you aren't interested anymore! 20) Least Favorite: Paint Brand you've tried Vallejo 21) Least Favorite: Mini Company who's sculpts/style just don't make you want to paint them. Ummmmm don't know. There is one or two I just haven't spent enough time looking at them to remember their names!
  14. The face on the first Ogryn is great IMO. Death Kreig stuff is always fantastic, just which I had gob loads of money to buy an army (and I don't even play!)
  15. I am another who prefers display figures painted to display level. In fact I would say with the sheer amount of figures available in the hobby having paint jobs that stand out are vital. Yes some will be turned off but unpainted stuff just doesn't even register with me unless it is an absolute gem.
  16. I hate those half naked ladies (I know - blasphemy). I just think they looked stoopid.
  17. If they are quality sculpts then PPP only comes into play if they cost more because of it.
  18. I really like the models I have seen for AT43 but yeah they are overpriced. I have no issue with the prepaint, Orb showed you can still paint over them. You just don't want to spend that much on something you want to paint over.
  19. It saves space if your work area looks like a bomb site (but only if you actually utilise it properly). Oh and I would assume it comes flatpack kitset as does all their scenery.
  20. http://www.miniaturescenery.com/SeriesPage.asp?Code=ACC A kitset workstation. Not sure why you would want to tip it 70 degrees but hey, whatever rocks your boat!
  21. wow a ball with legs, not the most inspiring thing I have ever seen.
  22. Wonder if GW noticed this, maybe thats the real reason for your door being kicked in?
