  1. Thanks, I look forward to it.
  2. Seriously... I need someone to help me translate this sucker. It is ver cool and I want to know what it says. The pictures obviously go along way, but I want to know what he/she says. http://gidian-gelaende.de/Material_HP/Wolfgang/Tut_Vampirburg/album/index.html
  3. Very nice piece. Great pictures in both thread. Thanks for sharing. One question... Do you have any pictures showing how you did the rounded roof pieces? If not, could you make some more, and take pictures and share?
  4. Thanks guys. A day of dice rolling was enjoyed. Good times indeed.
  5. Dude!!! I guess it has been too long since i was really able to spend more than a few minutes over here. Here my few responses in this thread were based on personal opinions of theoretical magazines. That is if you were just now starting to create it nd asking for suggestions, those would hold up. I just NOW noticed that you already uploaded the online version of your EZine. Man, FF, hope you didnt take my comments as a put down on your zine. It looks pretty good. My opinions related to an unknown magazine still apply, but since your current EZine is not an unknown anymore but online, my opinions only partly apply. The tutorial that was put in there related to the water base was great! Now I just need that person to do two more tutorials just like it, except using square bases and the diorama in which that square base would fit into. Story stuff for the Maulifaux is pretty good. Not sure this particular zine has enough info in it tho to justify going to professional print. Me choosing to print it personally yes, but pro printed, I think I would wait for future additions when more true information and/or more paintjobs could be included.
  6. SAVAGE.. RAVAGE... Whats in a little letter? I already told you I couldnt read it...
  7. Ok, I guess I have a slightly different opinion than others. Interestingly, the magazine that I look at and buy the most is one that I cannot even read. It is the French mag SAVAGE. I cant read a lick of French but I buy it, and it costs a pretty penny too. I spend upwards of $25-35 for each issue. The reason? Simple... It has a TON of pictures of some awesome paintjobs in it. I would love it if they would do a copy in English, but they already said they dont plan to. I would love it if they included more tutorials like the Confrontation Cry Havoc mags, but they dont do that very often. I used to buy the Cry Havoc's too for the tutorials, but ever since AT- came out, those have gone down hill. I really have no idea what is intended for the Wyrd ezine. I know that you asked for a show of hands and for people interested in being published to submit samples. I thought about it but didnt think I was good enough at the time. Trying to end a long rant as best I can, I guess my opinion is, if you want your ezine / magazine to be more of a support product to the new Wyrd game, then I would try to pattern it loosely around the Cry Havocs and No Quarter mags. And so would maybe keep the costs hopefully a little cheaper (around $8-10). If you are more trying to use the zine to just show off paintjobs (Wyrd and others) and throw some game related stuff in there, then I wouldn't pull any punches and I would go the way of an English version of SAVAGE and charge more as it is worth it. I think for me the biggest issue of the whole thing is the quality of the print job. I'd rather pay $20 and get a top of the line really cool very very detailed picture, than I would pay $7 and get an inkjet looking output that you can see colors but lose the detail.
  8. I guess the arcade reset again? I would have guessed someone stole all 50 of my tiles but then i see that the high in the arcade right now only has like 41. And whe I clicked on the rankings page it saidnumber of games I have played = 0. Oh well. I had become a little too obsessed with the arcade lately anyway, tis a good excuse for me to get away from it.
  9. Just wondering how long your tree / lights / decor tend to stay up after the holidays...
  10. My tiles went way up, (and I just went nd gained a few more) but of course most of mine ar based on only playig like once and grabbing the tiles, so they will be easy to take from me. I figure the reset that happened a while back, finally is matching up. That is, I used to go to the arcade and it would say that a game had no high score, then I would click on the game and say the high score was 1,000,000 held by xxx... now it says there is no high score and there really is no high score (so of course I grab it real quick like)... I dont expect to hold my tilesvery long, but figured I would havea good laugh for tht short time I have them.. with the look on your faces... he he he
  11. Congratulations.... Actually, I think that would make for an excellent contest... Almost Iron Painter-esque. See who can come up wih the best Wedding cake topper for his cake.....
  12. Well, I was lucky enough to grab a few tiles last night... We'll see if we can get few more before the end of the year...
  13. well, its not like i play a lot, just needed a small breather, and of course bad timing....
  14. you are 2,000 points from beating the high core in a arcade game, when your boss walks in the room and you have to quckly change to a different browser window....
  15. One of the things that I like about Wyrd minis is that most of them show a lot of emotion on their faces, not just a straight face. I also like a lot of the disturbing minis just because they are so different. But, at the same time there is a limit too, as I am not a fan of gore based art, which several minis revolve. I admit that the whole gunslingers westerns, just dont do much anything for me. I guess for me its not so much a particular thing that I want to see as it is features on things I want to see. I love the mad hatter and his sneer that he has on his face, an would love to see a similar sinister look on some cool monsters or even on other characters. I like that there are a good number of Wyrd models where its not all about the sword or gun in their hand but rather their personality. Not saying they cant have weapons, just saying that the weapons are not the focal point. I think that is the one thing I dont like about some of the Reaper stuff, is that it is impossible to fnd a model that isnt all about their weapon they have. On the flip side, I also really liked the Misaka model and its flare of the orient yet elegance and style of the flip flops and whirling kimono. I don't know that I wold like to see a bunch of ninjas or catwomen in fetish suits or anything like that, but more of the oriental women with attitude (all types of attitudes sly, sinuous, seductive, rage, sneer, tactical, etc....) also would be really cool to me. Femnine and alluringin their colorful kimonos, but graceful and powerful in whatever role they happen to be in.
  16. I know on some of the other boards I frequent they have a thread dedicated to the tyes of minis that tey would like to see the company try and add to their offerings. Just wondered if Wyrd has something like that..
  17. I'll be honest, I like most of the 2006 releases mor than the 2007 releases, just cause they're more my style. But, that doesnt mean i dont like the 2007 releases. But, if I ha to give a suggestion for future, I liked the Misaki the best of all releases so far, and would love to see that part of the line embellished a bit more.
  18. DF, You say that for now all you are going to be offering is the simple stained cube. You think you will ever venturing into shaped plinths? Or since I would be wanting a shaped piece, and would therefore have to restain it after shaping, are you going to offer non stained for less?
  19. Its not working for me... I go into the arcade. I can select a game... I can use my mouse to start the games... But then the games do not recognize my laptop keyboard, that is I am using my arrows or hitting the spacebar or whatever and its not doing anything... So disapointed... I tried 3 different games, with the same results all three times... Worst one was one game that it did recognize when i hit the 'Q' button to change the screen quality, but still would not recognize me hitting my arrows or spacebar. I could chage the screen qality all day tho... :banghead:
  20. I remember about three or four years ago when you asked me about website interfaces and forum systems and such. I remember where this site started. Its very cool how far this site has come since then. Congratulations, on what I would and hopefully you deem as successful years. Continued success to you and the Wyrd community.
  21. My favorite pirate in terms of outfit is the top one. Unfortuantely, its also my least favorite from the static boring pose. The fat mexican dude is the same thing. Love his look, hate his pose. umm hate is a strong word... I dislike his pose. The kiss blower would be really nice if you can fix her overly thick wrists.
  22. Did you ever ask about paint recipes on those minis I mentioned in the other thread whilst you had the master painter in hand?
