Lure, Pounce, and Stumble Around

Clement

Question

So this is running around facebook right now...

If a rotten belle lures a Moon Shinobi, who gets his Stumble around Drunk trigger, does the Belle get her pounce in before the gremlin pushes (likely away)?

Some wordings.

Pounce: When an enemy model ends a Push or Move within this model's engagement range that is not part of a Walk or Charge Action, this model may immediately make a 1 AP Ml action against the model without spending AP.

Stumble around Drunk: After resolving, push this model up to 3" in any direction

Stumble very clearly resolves after step 5 of the action, the question then is exactly when Pounce does.  If it's during step 5, it will get in before the trigger.  If not, then general timing will mean the trigger goes first and the Shinobi is out of there.

Pounce happens as part of the Move or Push, as soon as the movement is complete.  That means that it's going to happen before the things that would have happened after the movement.

Edit: The reasoning is fairly straight forward.  In the absence of blocks of rules that specify otherwise, effects happen and apply when they say they do.  In other words, things like the timing of "after resolving" triggers are exceptions because you have to look at the rulebook to know how they work.

in which case- what if the moon shinobi were to then trigger stumble from the belles free attack- would it then push 3" twice? Could it (theoretically) push past the belle but stay in pounce range with the first push in order to trigger another attack and potentially push again (before pushing again)?

Yeah, you should be able to push as many times as your wounds allow or until the belle chooses to stop pouncing because your opponent realizes what you are up to.
