I'm another that prefers grey - I will use black or white if I think it will work best for that particular paint-job but generally I stick with the grey. SinDrome Posted February 24, 2014 Report Share Posted February 24, 2014 I'm still learning, but I'll second Krylon grey primer, works wonders. Nice "tooth" to paint on, with no issues. It's all I'll use now. Although, I also agree with what someone else said. When I first started, I found White Primer to be a great teaching tool. tollboothmusic Posted March 5, 2014 Report Share Posted March 5, 2014 Thanks everyone for the tip on grey - tried a few models last night using a 50/50 mix of the Vallejo Black & White primers mixed and brushed, actually flows much better than the black only,adhesion is miles better than the white only and the colours look fantastic even on 1st coat.
