Big Ned
Thanks, lovely model to paint too. Can't say the same for Myranda
zFiend
I think the skin came out really well. Why don't you like Myranda?
Big Ned
She was a pig to put together. And the model just doesn't work for me. Looks alright painted but I'm not a fan of the sculpt.
Big Ned
Just finished Ashes and Dust & friends which I won in the raffle at Heartfaux The model is very bleh! IMO but I did the best I could with it.
zFiend
Oh, that's one terrible model. Nice colours though and you managed to give it life but the model is terrible.
Big Ned
Yup, it's a good model for radio. :-)
zFiend
Yup, it's a good model for radio. :-) Indeed. I think that's one model that the new plastic line will improve in appearance no matter what
vinush
It couldn't possibly be worse.
Big Ned
I'll be honest, A&D kinda crushed my enthusiasm for painting for a few weeks but, I'm back with a brief break from Arcanists to paint up a Latigo Pistolero to count as my Gunslinger I'll be playing in an upcoming game of 'Through the Breach'
dmeep
Thats actually the first ashes and dust Ive seen that makes me think "that model wasnt as horrible as i thought" its still a sculpt that probably will be improved in the new plastic. And since i havent liked any of the new stuff over the old apart from rasputina thats quite something coming from me.
Vaiuri
Your work on faces is superb, really some of the best I've ever seen! I'll be coming back here often for inspiration. Can you give me some tips in doing eyes? I'm terrible at that!
underdog6750
Nice work man, crews are looking great ill be up your neck of the woods for your next event you are hosting. Really looking forward to it
Big Ned
Thank you, I always try and give faces a bit of special attention as it's often the focal point of a model.Eyes I tend to do a wash over the eye and eye socket, to define the edges. Then I use a fine brush and a steady hand to paint the white part. Finally I decude where I want the model to be looking and I position the model so they'd be staring at me as I paint the pupils.
