My mounted McCabe has the netgun and coil of rope/whip, and my dismounted has the ridiculously long whip in one hand and a sword in the other because that just makes the most sense. Did you use the sword arm for his mounted version? I'm pretty okay with his mounted version holding the netgun (that's the Ranged Expert version, anyway) and his dismounted version getting the melee weapons.
