  1. It isn't a welcome back. I left the forum because of the community here and I will not be staying. I even see some of those same people are still around and still vocal. The lack of official rulings is silly. Any link to this intent bit from Justin then at least?
  2. We all know the Red Joker is a 14 with a wild suit. When it is revealed, you choose the suit. No where does it state what card it is, only that it has the suit now. The reason this matters is that Leave It To Luck has a rather unusual wording in that it treats all Mask cards flipped/played as +2 value and Tomes as -2 value. No where else in the game do you have the language of a "Mask card". That implies to me that a "Mask card" is a card with a Mask printed on the card not one that can gain the suit. My friend disagrees and says the rules state that the Red Joker is that suit for all intents and purposes but I find nothing of that sort. So which is it? And I don't want what you THINK. If you do not have a rules reference that directly backs it up one way or another or are Justin/Rules Marshall, I'm sorry, but your opinion doesn't matter on this. It is a matter of the intent behind the wording which only Wyrd can really give us.
  3. Let's start some Wave 2 trading! There are just a couple of cards I need from other decks not worth purchasing for full price for myself. Let me see if anyone is willing to part with them in trade: Outcast Ama no Zako Void Shield (Nothing Beast upgrade) Karina's upgrade (the name escapes me right now) Arcanists Arcane Effigy Guild Brutal Effigy Pale Rider Guild Pathfinder Clockwork Trap x4 In trade I have: Most of the Wave 1 Arcanist deck Most of the Wave 1 Guild deck About half of the Wave 2 Resser deck (the Molly half and other assorted such things are here) A few of the Wave 2 Neverborn (Gupp stuff) Lilith box set cards (minus Tots) Pandora box set cards Dreamer box set cards Zoraida box set cards (well, the same cards as from the box though they are from the Wave 1 deck actually) If there is something in particular you are looking for, feel free to PM me and ask as well. I may have it. These are the things I know of and can remember off the top of my head. And in relation to my previous search for a Teddy card, I've gotten it. I'm all good on evil bears now.
  4. Looking to find myself a Teddy card from the Neverborn. I have pretty much all of the Guild and Arcanist decks as well as a set of Pandora boxset and Lilith + upgrades (no Tots, sorry). PM me and let us resolve this dissonance. (5 pts if you get that reference) EDIT: Got the card I needed from this post. I have another post of some Wave 2 cards I am looking for below though! Check it out!
  5. Yeah, that's my favorite. It is just one of those little things that seems to fit the character in question so well. You know he'd love any abuse of power he can get. I think my second has to be the "You're drunk, go home" trigger.
  6. Honestly, I haven't assembled mine because the size issues bother me. I will have to take advantage of this though. I'd love the Ronin to be in scale with all my other models.
  7. I have to be missing something. If I am, I really think some additional language should be added to the cards. As it is, I am not seeing anything that says Yan Lo cannot just pay SS at the hiring process to attach his Ascendant upgrades as per normal. There is no language that explains how Ascendant is a restriction aside from his Ascendance action specifying them. Not to mention, they are not Yan Lo specific. I imagine the intent is that with the restriction Ascendant, they may only be attached via the action, not at hiring. If that is the intent, I would recommend adding language to the effect of him having an ability that says he may not attach Ascendant upgrades at the start of the game and putting "Yan Lo, Ascendant" on the upgrades (to future proof them for other Rezzer/Ten Thunders masters who can interact with upgrades). I know the beta is done, but this seems like preemptive errata. If I am correct about the intent, it clarifies it without Cuddling or buffing anything. Otherwise, I can guarantee it will be a future rules question common to the crew.
  8. I know you guys sold extras of the decks, etc. through the mail last year as pre orders. My buddy did a group order from you last year. As someone who lives in Illinois, I'd love to be able to get my hands on those goodies again (especially since we are on M2E now. I want those scheme cards!) Any chance you will be doing that again? Your fate deck from last year is still my favorite deck yet (and is the envy of many of my friends).
  9. I like it except for the wealth of information about a poster in the really large bar above their posts. It clutters things up and makes each individual post larger than it needs to be. Otherwise, like I said, I do like it. The aesthetic is much more...modern for the forum.
  10. Illuminated and Beckoners with Lynch. Beckoners are in M2E far more interesting as general control pieces. Combine with their interactions with Brilliance and yay. But then...the Illuminated come along. And man, they are BRAWLERS. These guys are pretty damn tanky to start with but you stick Brilliance on their target and they will shred it. Couple all that with Huggy (especially carrying his +s against Brilliance upgrade) and things get fun. I just can't not play him without at least one of each of these little joys. Neverborn in general though love the Tots. Fast and significant models for objective running. Wheeeeeeee!
  11. I hate to do this, but is there anyway to add a single item to my order? I was struggling through the store last night with all of its difficulties so I missed adding a single puppet to the order. I have the order number of course and am ok with it delaying my order if that is what is needed to add a single $4 item. I want to get the zombie chihuahua puppet.
  12. Oh sleep finally comes. My order is in. Woo! Goodnight and good luck all!
  13. In the us. Central. 2am here.
  14. Dammit! I was chugging along adding things and it went down again. Sigh. Bit by bit. If the shinies weren't so nifty I wouldn't be doing this...
  15. Flip the black joker, reshuffle their deck, and flip it again...with it still in the discard. Somehow.
  16. So many SQL errors. Cannot get into anything. Can't wait for when ratty gets it working.
  17. But then I have two Santanas and two Miss Teriouses, both with only one copy of their special card. Doesn't solve the problem. ---------- Post added at 07:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:27 PM ---------- If you want it ASAP, then the Warstore will still probably the best bet. The last line of the ad is that shipping does not start until December 5th. Hopefully, Neal will be shipping before then.
  18. As someone else asked, would it be possible at some point to get our hands on the Miss Terious/Santana card if we already have the model?
  19. Not only are the standard sized games at 50ss, upgrades are IMO mandatory. A Master should always have max upgrades IMO. Henchmen should always have at least one, maybe two. Enforcers should be strongly considered when it comes to upgrades (though are far more situational). Similarly, I won't play the game without a pool of at least 6ss if not the max 7ss. Henchmen eat souls. Masters who want to get directly involved want the stones for combat, suits and prevention. Support Masters want the stones to guarantee suits on triggers. Suits and prevention are what I spend 90% of all soulstones for in game. That last 15ss tends to get you most of those upgrades and extra soulstones. I might drop the third Illuminated for a little something else and some extra stones depending upon my declared faction (I play both Neverborn and Ten Thunders, so he is the ultimate crossover master for me). In Neverborn, I love a Tot in most lists as a really shift objective runner. It's super fast and easy to hide.
  20. And there goes another $15 for Miss Terious (who I already have) and I need to push the total to $250 for Santana with the card. Gee. Thanks, Nathan. >.<
  21. For Miss Terious and Santana, it says updated for M2E. Does this mean just a Death Marshal and Santiago card respectively, or is it a Miss Terious and Santana card, ala the Miss Step card from Gencon?
  22. Looks cool. I might have to give this whole thing a try. I don't think I'd mark deployment zones though. I would mark the three possible centerlines (right across and then both diagonals) as well as the center point. (My logic being, checking deployment zones for schemes is easy to do. Checking centerlines, especially the diagonal ones, are a more significant pain in the middle of the game)
  23. But Gremlins aren't a real faction (or real people). >.>
  24. Always preferred PPs method of pricing to GWs. Detail and complexity drives price. More fanciful miniatures in more pieces cost more money. Points value or use in the game has little effect. As their minis have gotten better, their prices have gone up too. And outside of one or two rare times, the old stuff hasn't gone up in price. (And they do try to use plastics to drive down prices. An example would be the Bane Thralls that went up recently. They are plastic versions of the metal resculpts from a few years ago. $85 box became $50 with the change. Compare to GW who has always priced things based on performance or points cost. I think outside of maybe basic unit boxes and maybe characters, everything tends to be similar priced dollar per point. The idea that the model is worth more points and thus costs more cash is silly and arbitrary. It's a way of saying, "Hey, for an X size army, we are expecting to get this much out of you". Malifaux has never needed to work like that (nor Warmachine) because they are games that encourage owning a collection rather than an army. They don't need to count on getting a 2000 pt army out of you and then you stop buying for that army. They count on their future releases being awesome ways to augment what you already have and make you want to buy it until you own 200 pts of a faction in a game where you play 50 pt games. And maybe Fuhatsu and the Lone Marshal will be really super amazing and detailed models. I'm just wary is all. I'd rather spend $40 on the Nephilim box if it does indeed contain two Young and a Mature. Especially since the art for those looks sweet. (I hate everything about Fuhatsu from a creative standpoint. The concept is silly even in this game and the art looks dumb. I'll be copying my friend's proxy idea of a big 50mm samurai toting a gatling gun).
