Sixgunsexpistol
So Im looking to base up some of my figs. I was wondering what other people used for bases? the inserts from wyrd are nice, however they are EXPENSIVE and they are a little of a pain to work with. What other companies do you use for precasted up bases?

Gadrean
Also have a look at Tiny Worlds resin bases, nice designs and reasonably priced.

Evilbleachman
Invite a few ladies over and pop open some champagne bottles and get all drunk and feisty. Then, the next day, in your drunken stupor, pick up the corks and chop them up and glue them onto the base. Use a white glue to keep them on the base. Then you slowly put on some pants (not the wrong way!!!) and then crawl out of the apartment into the utterly devastating sunlight. Lower your sunglasses to cover your eyes and walk to the nearest park with a playground on it. Go to the sand box part of it and just shovel some sand into your pockets. Boots work fine too. Once you are home again add some more white glue to small parts on the base and toss some of that cool sand on top of it. Remove sharp objects, such as syringes or glass beforehand. Wouldn't want to cut anything! Once the stuff has been glued together and you are all nice and clean after a long cold shower, prime the base in your preferred color. (Maybe black or grey?). Then start painting it up in different grey and brown tones. Dry brush it with some light grey or bone color. Drill a hole in each foot of your model and stab that cork to death with them. Glue the model in place and you have a custom awesome sauce base made with a cool story behind it.
Mister Shine
Contrary to my thanks though, that still sounds like loads too much effort. Also the gf may not like me popping the bubbly with random base girls
