+1. Great solid painting all round but Kaeris looks simply fantastic, those wings are awesome. I need to get my Nico box set finished and posted up, i think seeing your models has given me the kick up the !?!* i need.

And so you should be!. Those look absolutely fantastic and are really fitting to the steampunk vibe that Ramos has going on. Unfortunately i dont think that those bases would fit my ressers too well otherwise i'd be "borrowing" a few ideas. Im looking forward to seeing them all painted up, so get a shift on!

Hi, I think its a bit of a mix of both to be honest, they were some of the first models that i had painted to the level of highlights probably is not as good as some of my later models. That being said taking pictures on my phone doesn't really give the best representation and tends to change the colours slightly. Ive noticed that all of the skin looks a lot greener in the photo's than it actually is as well. Thanks for your feedback.

Ah neither of us realised that, thats good to know for future games. If she was Lured by a belle for example would her Linked entourage be dragged with her then? as it is outside of her activation. I'd also used a belle to lure Nico up the table too so i guess that it should have broken the Grave Spirits link to him also? Thank you all for your advice when facing Pandora, im looking forward to having another stab at her and trying some of the useful tips you have given me.

Hi Guys, A friend of mine and i have recently started Malifaux, i went for Ressers (seamus) and he picked up Neverborn (Dreamer). After getting my head around Dreamers antics and adding Bete to my crew this has always been a pretty close and fun match. Last week i Picked up my second crew Nicodem along with a Grave Spirt, Crooked Men, Canine Remains and a Flesh Construct. My friend got a Pandora crew, Doppleganger and some other bits and pieces. We had our first game with our new crews yesterday, i had Nico somewhere i thought he was safe. Pandy had a sorrow or 2 and the doppleganger linked to her and used the push from chain incite's from my minions to move herself to within 3" of Nico. Then using Project Emotions and burning a soulstone gave me a -flip on my WP duels. Basically it ended with Nico falling back and being smacked for 3-4 damage from WP duels until he was a pile of mulch on the ground. I felt helpless, we realised that zombie fodder was no use and neither was his hard to wound 1 or the armour from the Grave Spirit. We ended the game there as i had no real way of winning at that point. My question i guess is what to do VS Pandora? How do you guys play against her? My plan of using crooked men, decay and punk zombies to blast/indirect hit her didn't really get off the ground and i realised that her The Box Opens ability would mean my Flesh Construct would no longer be immune to WP duels. It is probably worth noting that my control hand was awfull all game and my opponent remarked that his were some of the best he'd had. Thank you in advance for any advice/tips you can offer.

Well its been a while since my last update, i havn't got a lot done to be honest due to time constraints etc. But i thought i'd show you my new ressers i picked up last week and what i will be working on in the coming weeks. As you can see i picked up the Nicodem boxed set along with a Grave Spirit, Flesh Construct, Crooked Men blister and a pack of Canine Remains. I must say i don't think that there is a bad sculpt among them, all are really nice models and im looking forward to getting my paintbrushes out again. More to come...

As others have said, nicely done and the mechrider fits in well as an icy steed. Makes me want to paint up my raspy crew now, but ive already got to many ressers to catch up with.

These look reallly nice, the best ways i've found to get better at painting is to read as much as possible and practice,practice,practice. Your doing really well, keep up the good work and MORE PICS!

I generally go with base and then paint my models. Id hate to spend hours doing a paint scheme to then mess it up or damage the miniature when i was clipping it from its tab and pinning it down. However some models may make painting the base when they are mounted almost impossible. In these cases i tend to clip the tab from the model and stick it to a plain plastic base for painting and then attatch it to the display base when both are done.

To paint black hair i've found the way that suits me best is to start with a mid to dark grey base coat. I then just simply use a watered down black wash over the top. I water it down as it then allows me to make the hair darker in stages and stop when im happy with the results. See Molly...

Thank you very much, yeah she does look pretty creepy. Unfortunately all ive got left of my ressers to paint now is my Necrotic Machine, so i'll try to get that finished and a picture up during the week. Then its going to be a waiting game until i have enough money to buy some more. Im still undecided whether to get Nicodem or McMourning next as i love the look of both. Both box sets are full of such great characterful models and the sculps for Sebastian and Mortimer are fantastic.

Hi Delvian, if you dont mind doing a bit of painting i've got some nice scatter scenery from Tiny Worlds Wargaming. I've had walls, rocky outcrops and crates from them and its all solid resin so it should last reasonably well. Im a big fan of the Pegasus wizards tower as well. I havn't got one yet but it looks like it would make a great centre piece.
