Line in the sand, attacker or defender?

Which do you think is better in shared line in the sand, is it attacker or defender. Is one better for fast crews or better for heavy hitters etc. would love to hear your opinions.

Pretty sure belongs somewhere not in rules discussion. But on topic depends on terrain faction and every other varible that makes this game great. But if your colette attacking is my choice.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the attacker usually has the advantage. First, last I checked it takes 1 AP to arm the counter, but 2 AP to disarm it, making the arming slightly easier.

Second, and in my opinion more importantly, The attacker has the pro-active role, whereas the Defender defaults into reacting(unless they have a large, fast crew capable of covering all the counters.) This seems to me to always be very advantageous inherently, as the proactive player tends to define the parameters of the game.
