I was playing against Sonia, and then the player asked me if the Ram in Sam's CA contributes to anything?

All of his spells doesn't require a ram, have something special incase of a ram, nor a CA trigger that involves a ram.

So is there any point to it, or is it an error?

There are a few cases of superfluous info or suits in the game. I believe there's another Guard model that has a Ram in its combat stat yet has zero triggers that put it to use (even the almost Guild wide Critical Strike).

The idea is that even if it isn't used now, it may be used one day. A sort of future-proofing, where an unused or underused aspect might become super important one day in the future, with another master, minion combo or perhaps even just a special event or something.

Ooooh, a special area of terrain that did different things to models based on the suit in their CA could be interesting.
