Mako
Agreed, they look great! I may have to borrow that idea when Colette reaches my painting table...
Nightshard
Thanks! White is indeed great... *especially if all my other armies are dark or black. Makes my girls a little special. Anyhow, comments. Yay! ------ Finally my Angelica and Coryphee arrived. I couldn't wait and started drilling my coryphee with magnets and modifying them a little bit. But that comes at a later date because I haven't had time to paint them yet. But here is Angelica drilled and base coated. I changed my way of painting skin after trying it on Colette. Its a bit embarrassing but I fell in love with it. I painted the skin on three other models in addition to Angelica. I felt that I had no excuse not to paint them as well. and here is the finished version, or at least game ready. I might add some scrolls to her when inspiration strikes. Nightshard
Alright. I've been busy and haven't had time to do anything. Well, I have prepared the Coryphee and played with my girls and tried Molly. I found that I liked her... A lot. Anyway, Coryphee. I drilled and put magnets in them because.. you know. The duet. The magnet looks horrid on it and after trying with a smaller one which worked, but made it wobble like a party girl around four in the morning. So I had to use a larger one. but it pained me. After destroying her heel with a knife to fit the magnet I though I had to give her flower as a token of my regrets. A table... *What I will do with this table will be showed after this intermission*
thaehl
Loving the free hand on the stage. Might have to thief the idea.
Nightshard
Alright, dancing is a part of my showgirls. However wyrd are bad at giving movement and life to their models. But to their defense they've gotten a lot better lately. I foremost thinking about the Alternative models and some of the Avatar models. Anyhow, I found this one and wanted her.I don't know what she'll be a proxy for but that have never stopped me before. A fact that Rogue Necromancy found out as it was and will forever be proxied by the Luggage from the Discworld universe. Now, where was I? Oh right, dancing girl. I started painting it with the skin layering technique I've started using with Colette. I haven't gone back since. I love it. To think less then two months ago I was using washes and highlights only. Damn. The skin is almost complete here. Now time for the clothes or what there is of them. Finished with some red added to the skin and the toes and fingernails got some purple nail polish on them. Nightshard
There are still some details left on the table. Mainly to hide the base I used as a, well, base of the table. I want some bottles on the table an other things. I just don't know how to make them yet. Anyone have any ideas how to make a miniature bottle or what else should be on the table? Edited September 11, 2012 by Nightshard
Ensis Ferrae
It's funny, when you put her on the table, she stuck at a slight lean, which normally annoys the heck out of me. In this case, I think it actually lends to the overall pose, adding an appearance of even more motion, suggesting that her dance is perhaps not a slow one? Pretty good painting I do have to say, the fact that your eyes have more than one color is awesome to me (as I cannot paint eyes like that to save my life)
Nightshard
The way Im painting skin now days actually helps with the eyes for me. Previously I've painted the eyes last and yelled at it. The yelling helped, unfortunately not with the paint job. Now days I paint the eyes first and adds the white to the sides of the pupil. Then paint all the skin details in a dark brown as a base to layer up from. I recommend you to try it. Its fast and simple with a great result. Just be careful while painting around the eyes. pixelante
Angelica is supposed to be wearing opera gloves. You can see the creases in the glove and that business about her upper arm is the end of the glove.
Nightshard
She is? Those humongous things looks more like armbands then anything else. Edit: Ill look into it when I go through all models again as I look for things I miss. Edited September 12, 2012 by Nightshard

Wings
I really like the sheer effect you've used for the dancing girl. Also, using the Luggage as a proxy is an awesome idea. *grin*
Nightshard
Yes, The luggage as rouge necromancy. Most enjoyable fifteen minutes of sculpting I have had in ages. Its not perfect but good enough to play with. Some strange fluids on the side of the base is good for you. And another proxy model I uses with my girls finished.
