Executioner's Love the Job vs. McMourning's Organ Donor

Turbodog

Question

Still a little fuzzy on the timing of the executioner's slow to die and love the job...seems like no matter how many times I see it.

Okay, so question is:

McMourning and Executioner in melee with each other.

McMourning (at 3 wounds) activates and hits the Executioner (at 5 wounds). He does enough damage to kill it (6 damage). McMourning has Organ Donor which says:

"When this model inflicts Dg with a melee attck, heal it an equal number of Wd."

Executioner "dies" from the attack, so he takes the slow to die action. With this action he does damage to McMourning. Has McMourning healed yet from McMourning's hit?

If not, he's still at low wounds (3) and may be killed by this (min damage 4) - allowing the Executioner to love the job and survive. If he has healed due to the damage he's done (has 9 wounds now), it'll be harder for the Executioner to kill him (although still possible, with decapitate or red joker).

So how does McMourning's "organ donor" heal timing work with regard to the slow to die action of the Executioner?

Many thanks ahead of time for this answer!

So if McMourning (at 3 wounds) activates and hits the Executioner (at 5 wounds)and does do 6 Wd, would heal back up to 9 Wd through his Organ Doner ability right away. at that point McMourning's activation is stopped so that the Executioner would use his 1 AP Slow to Die action. If he cannot take out McMorning or some other minion within range then he dies. Least that is my understanding on how the sequance works.
