Huang Da Wei
Ok, so I have finished painting LCB and a dreamer crew and now on the table is the old hag. I have the alt sculp Zoraida, 3 silurid and thats it so far. My wish is to have swampy style bases and a crew based around that, so with that criteria what should I get next and what sort of tactics can I expect from them? Rathnard
Well to me, a Swampy theme for Zoraida would be the contents of her starter box (Silurid, Bad Juju), plus any of the neverborn Beasts and potentially a few gremlins. So to me, a themed Bayou/Swamp list would have any of the following models; Silurid Bad Juju Waldgeist Bayou Gremlin Warpig? (Could be interesting...) Any of the LaCroix Gremlins Freikorps Trapper Spawn Mother/Gupps McTavish Avatar Zoraida Also don't forget the voodoo doll - he's kind of central to how Zoraida tends to work. notmikehill
I really like the mobility and adaptability of the puppet themed army. You can make wicked dolls and jump all over the board if you have Collodi and use the Stitched together with some great buffs thanks to Collodi! Huang Da Wei
as I am so new to malifaux, I will only play 25ss games. presume 3 silurids would be a good start, voodoo gets summoned so that leaves me 10 ss to play around with
iamthefly
You can't go worng with Bad JuJu, and if you do just toss a stone and resurrect him. Zoraida can't obay him like the mature nephalim, which is a bummer, but he is soooo swampy. Use him as a shock troop to start with, he is very good at making stuff dead and at occupying your opponents whole crew for a turn, then send him after schemes and stratagies when he comes back alive with 6 wounds. He's great for a beginner, because he is really hard to lose permanently even if you get too gung-ho with him and he gets killed too quickly. Though he isn't hard to kill once he is on his second life. He also comes in the starter box and is entirely organic.
