Stonedog-7
This came up on the weekend and we couldn't find an answer Austinger's Raptor rule for no LoS required vs the Silurid's Silent rule for can't ignore LoS when targetting it Which rule takes precedence? 0 daemonkin
Ooh that's a good one! From a purely personal POV I would give the Silurid priority but I couldn't say which from RAW. D.
0 sephiroa
silurid's silent rule. austringers raptor can ignore LoS, and with the silent rule you never ignore it
0 magicpockets
Yeah, "can't" always trumps "can" in Malifaux so "can't ignore LOS" beats "can ignore LOS"
0 Headcase2
Note that the Silurid's V2 card says that models can't ignore cover when targeting it.
0 Stonedog-7
See thinking about it afterwards that's what i started thinking, although Raptor isn't worded as a may At the time we just flipped for it and gave it to the austringer for the 1 shot where there was no LoS Ninja'd - Headcase, that's an interesting change... i'll have to check that our Marcus player has up to date cards
0 magicpockets
Note that the Silurid's V2 card says that models can't ignore cover when targeting it. You're right, I always forget that got changed
0 Sniddy
No he doesn't also coming here to check that ruling - see the black joker WAS a message all along
0 sharpobjects
The Talent Silent means that when the Silurid is either in actual cover (within 1 inch of terrain that would provide a model cover) or under the effect of it's zero action Chameleon, then no model can ignore cover when targeting the Silurid. The Austringer has a Talent where it receives a positive twist to the attack when targeting Silurdis or gremlins. So the positive twist minus the negative twist from cannot ignore the Silurids cover turns out to be a normal twist, flip one card on the attack.
