grave spirit and link?

Question on the card the link has no designated end time. Meaning by rule it stops at the end close phase. In the mrb link is described as only ending if the two models are not in base to base at the end close phase. Card tends to over rule book but I'm wondering if this is a misprinting of the card. Or an intentional ommission. If this is the case grave spirit is a lot less useful. Thanks in advance
