Stern
I think I have found a volunteer... I mean replacement partner... Do they have to play or could she say... Sit there look pretty, get drunk and be a fun distraction?
Neverata
As long as 15 quid is paid for the ticket, thats as far as my involvement goes in caring about peoples' doubles partner.

Mike3838
This worries me a little. Kinda goes against the format/idea of the tournament if someone can just pay the whole entry fee themselves, bring a random stranger/friend/girlfriend/spectator, and then solo all their games. Mike My plan was to do this with you Mike, but seeing as your now against it I'll have to find a new dummy, I mean, er, partner.
Neverata
Mike - I want it to be proper doubles, but it's not like I can regulate it! Someone is unlikely to win if they bring a dummy to just sit there. If there was a way to stop it i would do it, but unfortunately, people will always just do as they please. It's human nature, if it puts you off, theres still nothing I can do. Believe me, I wracked my brains thinking about a ruling in the rules pack. Neverata
Good news Adam since you missed the masters, I think you could do with making some doubles cry Maybe you can convince mitch he doesn't want a bimbo and have a lame non playing partner and be his guild partner....Lady J and Hoff

Mike3838
Someone is unlikely to win if they bring a dummy to just sit there. I'd argue that someone (especially a very good player) is actually *more* likely to win on their own, given that they'll have full control of their crew and not have the difficulty of coordinating two people's models and decisions. It's human nature, if it puts you off, theres still nothing I can do. Believe me, I wracked my brains thinking about a ruling in the rules pack. It won't put me off - I just think people doing it would be undermining the event's purpose. Not having seen the Rules Pack yet I can't say whether a ruling would be possible. Not even something like "each player is responsible for control of their half of the crew"? Difficult for one person to police, but obvious to the opposing team if it's not working that way. Neverata
Played with that idea, but the thing is half and half crews split up the dynamic too. Its all about discussion between them. BUT apart from Mitch, in all fairness, everyone else is bringing people that can play and want to play their half So we are allllllllllllllllllllll good. Cunning
I'm going with someone who wouldn't know how to play malifaux properly if his life depended on it. No one seems to be complaining about that.

Cunning
I know. He only came second in the masters. What a loser Exactly. He'll just be sitting there trying to look pretty as I handle the beating of our opponents. Edited January 26, 2012 by CunningStunt
Neverata
Exactly. He'll just be sitting there trying to look pretty and as I handle the beating of our opponents. Whilst I enter and take all the glory....I haven't got a partner or the get up and go to enter but I probably will eventually!!
ukrocky
You should force everyone to play on their own for two rounds

Neverata
I'll believe it when I see it Johnson. You change your mind on your doubles partner constantly. Once I see yours and James cash paid together then I'll believe It
