edonil
I will say it's fun doing all this stuff in the Iron Kingdoms setting. Doug Seacat and the others have created quite the world, and it's nice to be able to explore it with some friends.
Mister Monkey
Yeah not read much of the fluff but what I have read is enjoyable.....
edonil
Honestly, I'd recommend Kings, Nations and Gods just to read in a lot of ways, lol. The book is nearly 400 pages of background info, it's kinda crazy.
Mister Monkey
Ooo does sound good. Was wondering which of the RPG books were worth picking up.
edonil
The Core Rules are great for background. They give a lot of information on the Iron Kingdoms as a whole in the beginning, and then Kings, Nations and Gods gives more detailed information (80 pages on Cygnar alone) about Cygnar, Khador, Llael, Ord and the Protectorate. Mister Monkey
Read the Urban Adventures book? And how about the GM screen, I am a sucker for a nice GM screen *grin*
edonil
Heh, I have everything actually... Urban Adventures is great for options for players and NPCs, and really is a neat resource. All of the non-human PC types got a new career unique to them, plus humans got the Thamarite Advocate. And the GM Screen is actually a pretty neat kit, comes with some nice character sheets and encounter sheets too.
Mister Monkey
Sweet, will add them to the list of things to pick up *grin*
edonil
Think you'll be able to get a campaign going?
Mister Monkey
Maybe...... but not for a little bit. Do love RPG's just get no time to play them *grin*
edonil
(nod) My problem is that I have time to play, but not a lot to prep, lol. So if I want to see a game of Iron Kingdoms (or TTB, or Battletech, or Shadowrun, or any number of games I'd be up for playing that aren't DnD or Star Wars) I generally have to be the GM, lol. bowchikawowers
Gmosnube Sorry Ed. If I could come up with a story worth doodlie I'd gm so you could play. :/
Mister Shine
Wait, you have no prep time so you GM? That's... that's backwards!
edonil
Wee little bit, lol. It's more an issue of the lack of prep time is hurting my ability to be a GM... not a lot of fun to keep having the GM cancel sessions because there wasn't time to get the session done. Mako
If I ever manage to achieve that rare event where I start having free time (that isn't me staring at a screen in the office or a lab, cussing under my breath) I might even try to run one... Course, if that happens, the universe will likely rip open.
Mister Shine
When I start up my campaign you can be the me of that campaign, putting in the odd appearance but spending the majority of your time comatose in a wheelbarrow full of turnips

bowchikawowers
I'm exhausted. It takes me forever to get back up to the amount of energy I had before I was sick. But I am not sick anymore, just tire really easy right now. Also! GO RED SOX!
