Hoping my box set will be at the LGS on Thursday when I show up for our weekly play night. But until then, I won't know. There's a thread around somewhere talking about it, but the short version is that the card doesn't mention whether the use of Detonate Scrap removes the Scrap Counters from play or not. So, going strictly by the wording in Rising Powers, it would seem you could detonate the same scrap over and over again, which doesn't make much sense. Hoffman was forced to live in his shadow. The younger Hoffman clearly loves Ryle, since he's gone to such lengths to save his life and his mind.
