Kaane Feinwong
Did you end up using putty?
DangerousBeans
Did you end up using putty? Aye, rolled out about 100 of them for the crews bases, glued them on and bent them to look more organic.

Darguth
Excellent base. Though perhaps the color of his robes are *too* similar in color with the maggots? I feel like my eyes don't know which bright color to be drawn to and I lose focus looking at him. Seriously awesome basing though, kudos

I feel like my eyes don't know which bright color to be drawn to and I lose focus looking at him..... I agree. I wanted him to blend in with the maggots but not the actual base. I need to have a good think about it. I think painting his socks and brightening his shoes may help. Ah well, tonight is another night of painting so hopefully i'll figure it out! LoboStele
That looks absolutely awesome. I don't really care for Hamelin's playstyle, but I love his fluff, and you've nailed it here. Well done!
DangerousBeans
Cheers man I'll try and finish him off tonight and get some proper pics put up. I must say I was pleased with how the hood came out, makes him look a lot more sinister IMO.
Dark Alleycat
oh...one quick special effects tip I learned working with haunted houses. a small bit of black at the tip or head of each will make it look more like a maggot and less like rice,if you end up trying something like this in the future. Good tip! Now begs the question, and I don't mean to derail my own thread, but........ ....... you make haunted houses? Do tell
