Er1k
~Hi Following on from my thread on Malifaux inspired Films what music makes you think of Malifaux. I found a couple of Burlesque compilation albums that reminded me of Malifaux a little and for some reason so does the theme music from Boardwalk empire. Any others? Scorpio
Abney Park is ostensibly a steampunk band, you can check out their music on the YouTubes. Also, the soundtrack for Carnivale. And Peter Gabriel wrote the soundtrack for The Last Temptation of Christ, which is suitably eerie.
EricJ
A local SF Bay Area band is good inspiration also, Beats Antique. However, more than any other music, it was Tom Waits which inspired a TON of Malifaux. Hey, I think rising powers has at least 6-7 small references in there to his lyrics. Ratty
When you're on a crowded dance floor, near those red hot saxophones, Tain't no sin to take off your skin and dance around in your bones. Just take a look at the girls while they're dancing. Notice the way that they're dressed. They wear silken clothes without any hose and nobody knows the rest. If a gal wears X-ray dresses, and shows everything she owns, Tain't no sin to take off your skin. Tain't no sin to take off your skin and dance around in your bones. Ratty
The Murder Ballads album by Nick Cave is amazingly appropriate for Malifaux. The Curse of Millhaven reminds me a bit of Candy [ame] [/ame] I love Stagger Lee, but I'm not going to link that from here as it's not really work safe. Henry Lee and Where the Wild Roses grow both fit well, just twisted enough. Ratty
just for the whole feeling of death about it and the country western flavour. Very good choice, I'm a huge Johnny fan.. With Jack Daw almost being the game mascot. This might also work well [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcmbFKstspk[/ame]
