Rasputina Synergies

So, I notice that Rasputina is kind of trapped into her niche, and when people ask what models work well with her its always the same 3 or 4. I'm thinking about going into a tournament soonish and all I have is the Von Schill and Rasp box. I have enough money and willpower to buy and paint another box by the time I would need them but I don't really know what direction to go with. I was thinking of just picking up Colette but I really want to see if there are any models that could HYPOTHETICALLY work well with Rasp.

I was thinking of hiring Schill and a Specialist just because it would be fun but what ideas do you guys have?

(I'm picking up Colette in the near future anyway just for the sake of owning all the Arcanists someday. So thats not really an issue.)

I had a game of my Colette vs Rasputina last night, and we got to talking about how limited Tina is. In terms of playstyle she is probably the most limited Master in the game (note: playstyle, not power). Her Book 2 models give her increased threat radius and resilience with The Silent One, and greatly increased movement with Snow Storm. Her crew still needs to stick together to be most effective, but that is only the Frozen Heart models. That means fast models that can operate on their own are ideally suited to her crew, such as the Coryphee.

not much 25 I think, but I was just asking about in general. And yeah tina is really limited and I've run her with the Cerb but he ends up being too far ahead to get any support, I like close combat but I dont want my 9 point model to kill a guy then get mobbed. Really the only thing you can do with tina is boost her casting...not much diversity.

So the ones people usually say..? Silent One, Cerberus, Essence..?

I'm going to say some of the same here that I've said in almost every other Rasputina thread, but whatever..

You'll most likely want some fast models. People usually go for Cerberus here (which I don't understand, but yeah..), alternative choices include the Coryphée, the Mechanical Rider, Von Schill and Cassandra (I'd not opt for her, but she is fast..) to some extent and I've even seen people use the Rattler and the Steamborg. There's of course also Snow Storm who'll add some speed to your entire crew.

You'll probably also want some more shooty models as those benefit the most from the buffs you can give them.

Von Schill is also good for this one (though if you run him too far off ahead you can't really buff him - not that it's strictly needed..).

Other potential candidates are Kaeris (looking forward to her), Gunsmith, Gunslinger, Acolyte (alot of utility - hard to master - if possible at all), Hans, you name it.

Melee models might also work, but I think she's a bit too slow to fully support them - again it depends on strategy I guess.

Soeh.. Yeah I don't know.. I think most models will/can work with her (some might take a bit effort) - what people suggest is just what you'll usually see in her lists.

Not really sure what you're looking for actually.. If you haven't tried already take Von Schill with her since you have him alreadt and give it a shot.

@Sholto I'm not sure that I agree with you.. Unless you think of Silent One + Gamin + Essence to be a necessity for her firebase to work which is a lot of points on this. The rest of her list isn't really limited I think..

Taelor isn't fast but she can take a hit and give some punishment, plus if you give her frozen heart you could heal her with the Silent One....ohhh that sounds funnn

I'm thinking about playing the acolyte, Hans the trapper and the gunslinger so you have like alot of firepower

She seems a bit hampered in playstyle, but I don't believe she is. It's not because their is less synergy, the models will be less effective. (I think xD)

Hans is pretty solid with Headshot and the 3" North Wind boost. At the very least, he becomes a dangerous threat for your opponent, and excels at picking off your opponent's little guys. His 5 Cb isn't awesome, but enough to give your opponent caution. Usually can get your opponent to worry about him long enough that they forget about Raspy.

Are you allowed to use Proxies? I've found that I'm having a lot of fun lately playing with Kaeris. Talk about crazy board control with Ice Pillars AND Flame Wall.

I may be wrong - I don't play Tina, and what I wrote above is based on what I have seen playing against the local Tina players. Happy to be corrected

Jackdaw - hours of fun bouncing Severe damage blasts off him and then discarding a card to negate his own wounds

Oooh...that's just mean, haha. Especially with the extra card in your hand anyways (again, too bad Arcane Reservoir doesn't stack, lol).

Interesting idea though. I've considered picking up Jack if I ever buy Kirai down the road, or for screwy fun with other Outcasts. This might be a good reason to grab him as well.
