Vash Axis
I have a Teddy (aka Polar Scare) that I would like to put on a custom iceberg base along with a miniature coke-cola bottle. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how I could make on or where I might find one? Thanks
icemantis99
Hmmmmm. Personally, I'd go with cut foam to give the snow-covered ice effect, but translucent plastic could also work for you. Overall, I'd seal it (Depending on the material, some foams melt when sealed) and paint it. Do you want more snowy or more icy for your 'berg? icemantis99
Oh, and as for the bottle, I'd probably just greenstuff one up. Might be able to find one for sale somewhere though.
Ratty
If you get transparent plastic and spray varnish it and while it's still wet dab with a piece of white kitchen towel, you can get a misty ice effect.
Chucklemonkey
Blue glass mosaic. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://imagecache6.allposters.com/LRG/34/3483/AN86F00Z.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.berm.co.nz/cgi-bin/postershop/item.cgi%3Fi%3D4741644%26l%3D1%26cu%3DUSD&usg=__Q2sJQram-CvOqLZtCN0sQItXf9U=&h=323&w=400&sz=46&hl=en&start=32&zoom=1&tbnid=aNxAEefv-zc1FM:&tbnh=151&tbnw=187&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dblue%2Bglass%2Bmosaic%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26biw%3D1680%26bih%3D810%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C800&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=813&vpy=513&dur=470&hovh=172&hovw=213&tx=134&ty=96&ei=99S5TPLtKZCRjAeO5snXDg&oei=8tS5TPrTNYiSOt3V0LcI&esq=2&page=2&ndsp=36&ved=1t:429,r:31,s:32&biw=1680&bih=810 I did such bases in green for Kirai's spirits and they turned out pretty nicely IMO. Also, for the cola bottles http://www.cuddlypawscardsncrafts.co.uk/10-miniature-cola-bottles-742-p.asp
Vash Axis
Thanks everyone. I'll take all this into consideration. Awesome ideas.
the imp
The easiest solution would be the Dark Age Clear Ice Base Insert. If you'd prefer something opaque, I've been very happy with the ice bases I've made from Durham's Rock Hard Water Putty. It's a very durable and inexpensive plaster-like compound. I cast bases for my ice pillars out of it and the broken up scrap is making for very convincing chunks of ice for my severe terrain markers. Lurch
Vash I told you I would make one for you, the bottle that is.

Vash Axis
I like the DarkAge bases, so I will probably use one of those. I will post a pic as soon as I get it finished. Thanks for all the info guys.
Omenbringer
The darkage ice bases aren't bad, however they can use a turqoise wash to help define the recesses and some snow flocking to make them look more realistic.
