Satyrwyld
Using a soulstone is generally described in the fluff as crushing/destroying it (mostly seen in Book 2). but Soulstones can be "recharged" in the presence of a dying person. Do they reform? Am I missing something?
Wodschow
I think Soulstones can be used as continous power source aswell. Crushing them is probably a desperate act to instantly unleash more power from them. Those are my thoughts anyway.
Iamwyrd
Ya, when a soulstones is crushed it unlocks all of the potential of the stone. But it can't be used again. Edited August 28, 2010 by Iamwyrd
goblyn13
Depends on the type of Soulstone, some inferior grade soulstones give that quick boost of power (kinda like taking a hit of meth) while more refined or better quality soulstones can be recharged by folks dying and capturing the soul. You'll notice in book 2 there is a brief snapshot talking about mechanika and how it might take on odd quirks based on the soul used to recharge the soulstone.
