Bayou Ruins Board

I'm building a bayou ruins board at the moment, do people think i should include steampunk stuff in the ruins, i.e. pipes etc, or go more with a jungle ruins, i.e. just stonework ?

You could do some steam punk ruins or something. It would be neat if there were some old machine rusting in the swamp from the previous malifaux inhabitants.

Generally I would have said just stonework.

Thoughts of some properly mad, pipes everywhere, elicit Moonshine still, kind of sway me back though.

I kinda agree with Chucklemonkey in that the board should include some random bits of discarded rusty machinery. Half submerged in the bayou land scape with vegetation growing around and thru it. Just think of the stero-typical backwoods trailer park jokes and that should give a great start. If this is for a Gremlin board then definately gotta include things like rusted windmill, water tower, still, and collapsing outhouse.

I'd go with the odd piece. . . Like a rusted old hulk of a modern automobile, or smaller like a phone booth or mail box. Something to make those that see it go HUH?!!!

As in the last scene of Planet of the Apes, without the Charlton Heston whining of course.
