hi guys, could you jus explain how raven works, do i get to cast spells that turn or not, and with the change to the voodoo doll, dose it still activace conduit when its summoned or not. thx guys

You can cast spells before using the Raven ability. So, with Casting Expert, you could cast a (1) spell, user Raven and then walk twice for 20" total.

And yes, the Vodoo Doll still activates Conduit when it is summoned.

On the subject of Raven, I've been after a suitable model for Zoraida to turn into but have thus far found nothing that I like. Any ideas people? I could of course just use a status token/counter but a model of a raven would be much cooler.

Maybe you could look for Familiar miniatures from different companies. Some of them should have some ravens/crows as well. At least Reaper has a raven familiar in that Familiar pack: http://www.reapermini.com/pages/figure_finder_image.php?sku=02969_G.jpgℑ=3.

Pretty much. If put in a vacuum with only the enemy Master she will propably lose every time. She just has no meaningful ways to kill an enemy master by herself.

Instead of being a killing machine, she is the best Master for manipulating the battlefield to your crew's favour. Using Obey to get extra actions out of your Minions (the Mature Nephilim is great for this) or to turn your opponents to attack each other is propably the easiest of her tricks to use. However, she can also ruin the day of any opposing minion by using Conduit and Hex to strip them off their redeeming features. The same goes for Bewitch combined with Crystal Ball (No using hand cards for you! Now, ...let's take a look at your deck...). Bayou Two-Card makes casting multiple spells ridiculously easy as you can use a high card twice for casting.

At the same time she is ridiculously difficult to get rid of. Being a support Master she has no need to present herself to the opposition so they will have to catch her if they want to get her. That is very hard when she can turn into a Raven and flee from the enemy very quickly. Add in Proper Manners which means any attacks they get against her are at a huge disadvantage. Wp10 makes her almost immune to all Wp effects.

When building a crew with her you need to take into consideration that her crew will do all the fighting. Those big Neverborn beatsticks are a great choice, Mature Nephilim argueably the best because he can be Obeyed. Concentrating on speed is a good idea, making Terror Tots and Silurids also a good option.

Zoraida really excels in board control scenarios and Treasure hunt should be one of the best Strategies for her. In "Kill em all" games she is not that good but should manage with the right crew selection.
