n0signal Posted February 23, 2010 Report Share Posted February 23, 2010 I would say it's an auto-purchase, if that makes sense, but as for hiring it with your crew, no way!! You're much better off either bringing 4x Steampunk Abominations along and then turning them into the Engine when you're ready (and they're in a good position) or bringing a couple of abominations and trying to create the other two needed as you go along. Even if you don't bring any Abominations with your crew, you're often creating them as you kill things anyway, so the Desolation Engine is always a possibility. Best to have one handy eh?
