Brushmistress
Nathan - have you tried picking up Alliance or ACD as distributors. They are the largest suppliers to hobby stores in the US that I'm aware of. Granted, I haven't owned a shop in a year and half, but they were the people I got gaming minis from at the time. I make it a point not to go hat in hand to anyone, so no, I don't hunt folks out in that regards, and never will. Some folks expect you to give away the house with the kitchen sink and we're not going to do that. That being said, there has been contact with the companies, if anything comes of it I'm sure you'll see it here if and when it happens. I expect most larger distributors won't be moving one way or another until the conventions and release of the game is at hand. Updating our packaging was the first step towards honestly working with distributors.
Timberhick
Will you be doing GAMA next year? It's a great way to get a lot of the industry to see the product. Plus it's in Vegas always a plus

This year we talked about it but frankly wanted to have the book, new packaging and all of our support programs (Henchman programs, tournament play, new website, etc) in place before we went that route. Always a smart thing to do. I really think with your business plan of having the majority of minis out before the release of the game will make the game into a huge success, barring the people who "have to" have dice in order to play a minis game.
