Hans - Mercenary Sniper, The Executioner, 3 Elemental Gamin, and 3 Terror Tots have all been assembled and based. I will try to ge some more WIP pictures taken later this week. My family will be visiting my wife's folks later this week, which should give me some good opportunity to get some painting done. Maybe, I will even try to finish a mini or 2... I may well get him done next weekend. So that would be a total of 2 miniatures done for 2009. Keep at it and take advantage of the empty house! (I am assuming that you are not being drug along... I would have posted this update a few days ago, but I have been suffering technical difficulties with my new Dell Laptop. I figured that, since the other guys have posted their blog updates, I better get off my ass and get mine posted too... I just realized that Misaki is on a 30mm base... I mistakenly based her on a 40mm... I had to repair the spear arm, which fell off when I was removing her form the 40mm base... ( I also recently discovered that the Razorspine Rattler was supposed to be based on a 50mm base... I had based it on a 40mm Dragonforge Broken Wasteland base... Since I didn't have a spare 50mm Broken Wasteland base, I decided to improvise and cut the outer ring from a 50mm base and attach it around the 40mm base. I am not overly happy by the result, but will reserve judgement for after it is painted. I may still replace it later. I also repaired my Viktoria, Sword Mistress, which lost a sword hand while in transport. I am currently thinking that I may change my mind about trying to get fancy with the spider swarms and making them swapable, with rare earth magnets, between individual 30mm bases and a swarm on a 40mm base. So I have re-prioritized my list to get some stuff done and ready for the gaming tables at Gencon... At a minimum, the Tater Tot Swarm will be completed... My goal is to complete everything in my In Progress list, in the coming month. The remaining stuff will be on hold until after Gencon, but will be completed so that I can fulfill my minion duties of spreading the word of Malifaux!!! I will get better pictures once they are completed. Feel free to comment... I will say that I have a number things (hair, weapons, eyes, some additional highlights, ect.) that I still have to work on for each of these before I would consider them done... By the way, GenCon is three weeks away... To quote the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, "Don't Panic!" Lilith and her Brood (The Tater Tot Swarm) Being as these are the minis that I plan to spend most of my after hours gaming with, I am putting most of my effort towards completing them... I have two more un-primed Tater Tots to add to the swarm... I was going for a lava field look for the bases. I am reasonably please with how they turned out. I think once I build up the red on the hair they will start to show up better... I also hve to paint the fire flames that are on some of the bases, as well... I think that you need to be prepared to have a few coats of sealer on your minis, as well, in order to protect yours from any damage when they are knocked down!!!
