Jabberwocky
Here is one from the Reaper Chronoscope line. A while back, Supervike (I believe) started a thread about painting outside of your typical comfort zone. I decided to do a "normal" mini--not something that has big, sharp fangs or laser pistols or oversized swords. I imagined this guy as a 1930's pulpy character. He is on the hunt for some Egyptian artifacts which can sometimes be a bloody business if you cross the wrong people... Anyway, I have done my most involved freehand to date on this chap. As always, comments and tough critiques welcome.
Peterdita
Nice base buddy! I was waiting to see what direction you took that awesome mini. Edited January 14, 2009 by Peterdita

Hinton
Very cool paint job with plenty of atmosphere and some great freehand. Isn't this the mini that took third place at WoM?
Keltheos
Stellar job. I gotta hand it to Jab, that's a great paint job. Also gotta hand it to Reaper for their Chronoscope line. i had no idea what it was all about and thought they had some oddball occult superheroes game coming out, but it's great to see them filling niches with some great traditional concepts in mini form that still look unique. Moavoamoatu
Excellent. This choice is hard as stripes are always a pain to paint. Great base too.
Jabberwocky
@ Scorpio, Kel, and Moa--many thanks! @Peterdita--glad you like the base; I kept it relatively simple but thought it fit in well with the theme. @Hinton--yes, this is the one I entered in the WoM contest. It took me a couple of months, but finally got around to finishing the base.
Wren
I like him! The freehand is very nice, but what I most especially like is the very lively look to the face that you've created.
DeafNala
VERY NICE! Chang is a pretty snappy dresser. That is a fine paint job & an excellent base. you've managed to give the little guy quite a bit of personality. WELL DONE! :fing02:
v22TTC
I love the whole piece but especially dig them threads! Love how you managed to highlight the suit without making it look shiny (the fashion horror!) and then add a totally convincing chalk-stripe. Great work and sweet colour choices!
