Hinton
I picked this mini up from the Alpha Forge booth at GenCon. I've been wanting to paint it ever since, but there always seemed to be some other project coming up and I couldn't get to it. The past couple of weeks have been pretty calm (as far as mini projects), so I decided to paint him up finally. Nothing really special; just practing painting more than anything. Comments, as always, are most welcome.
demonherald
That's just wrong....try maybe some thin layers of colour in the recesses to add a little variation to the skin..maybe a purple and turquoisy mix..thin it right down and just paint where the shadows need to be//it'll help give a little more form to the features..nice work on the suit... R kid
Nice stuff like the suit ....prob give it some thing else on the base just to jet rid of that flat feeling may be a tree or a sign ya know .
Nathan Caroland
Sort of reminds me of that screwed up zombie graphic novel series that Supervike loaned me ... talk about a messed up situation! I think I would have gone for a more urban look than rural, but its a fun piece all the same.
Hinton
About the base: the plan was, at one point, to have a bit of a diorama in which the zombie was walking out of a cemetary with the groundskeeper's head. Since I was having so many troubles with making decent looking headstones, I chucked all of that, but kept the part where he's walking out. Still, I could have pulled him off of this base put him on a base that was more urban; just didn't think about it.
matty1001
Pretty cool! You could put some gloss varnish on the gory bits to make them look fresh and even more sickly. And like DH mentioned, a purple wash on the flesh would look pretty cool.

ThunderhawkerMinis
You know, I had a boss that bore a striking similarity to that fella.
