Nathan Caroland
Ander's got the math one correct. That just leaves the longest word (hint, it doesn't actually deal in the number of letters used).

eastman
Ding, ding ... Matty guessed it. What is the longest word in the dictionary? (A clue: The answer is the plural form of the word.) SMILES because there's a mile between the "S"s (although antidisestablishmentarianism is the longest real word in the English language)
Nathan Caroland
Ayup, got it Eastman! Alrighty, some others since ya'll seem to be knocking these out. - A horse travels the same distance every day. Oddly, two of its legs travel 30 miles each day and the other two legs travel nearly 31 miles. It would seem that two of the horse's legs must be one mile ahead of the other two legs, but of course this can't be true. Since the horse is normal, how is this situation possible? - King Tut died 120 years after King Eros was born. Their combined ages when they died was 100 years. King Eros died in the year 40 B.C. In what year was King Tut born? - Heh - now to see who recognizes this one, and answers it. First think of the person who lives in disguise, who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies. Next tell me what's always the last thing to mend, the middle of the middle and end of the end? Finally give me the sound often heard during the search for a hard-to-find word. Now string them together, and answer me this, what creature would you be unwilling to kiss?
EldinTux
King tut was born in 260BC
EldinTux
And the animal you would be unwilling to kiss is a spider
EldinTux
And the horse is on one of those ancient machines that operates an archemedies screw. Hence it is traveling in circles. The outer legs do travel further than the inner ones
Ritual
I have no idea, lets dee,w 1 -8 =-7 +9 =8, so eya it is...i think,. Oh, yes... you were drunk typing this... That explains it! :poke:
Ritual
Oh, and I think King Tut was born in 20 BC.
callumrice
Yes, the horse is not travelling in a straight line, its doing either an arc or a circle, therefore the outer legs are going faster than the inner.
EldinTux
Yep, yer right about King Tut - I mis-read the question
