EricJ
A nice effect, wonder if you would work this into a base design.... http://members.shaw.ca/lavaterrain/index.html
Jabberwocky
Wow. That is impressive. Really impressive.
Stupidcow
Really cool effects. I feel the lights are coming out too yellow. Slightly more orangey would be better IMO.
Xenon_Wulf
Forwarded the link to the head honcho at Asmodee US - thought he'd like the idea for Helldorado...
Hinton
That is pretty cool. It could possibly be worked into smaller bases. Something to think about.
jondalar
That's amazing! @Hinton, blister plastic and a 40mm base?! couple of LEDs (white or red), place base on a plinth to hide the batteries (put them under in a hollowed out space), dunno if it'd work ok, but the theory is sound. Hinton
The blister plastic is a good idea; hadn't thought about that. The rest is kind of what I was thinking. It would have to small, but bright lights with a battery source. You could even hide the batteries (if they're the right size) in something representing a hill. jondalar
Or this?!! - Quote :- "place base on a plinth to hide the batteries (put them under in a hollowed out space), dunno if it'd work ok, but the theory is sound." Meant hollow a section of the underside of the plinth out, drill hole for the wires, attach battery holder into the recess and bob's your uncle. Seen same sort of thing in an old edition of WD. Some bloke did a light up Balrog and put batteries underneath.
jondalar
Sorry for my cr*p paintshop skills! Think the general idea is clear though.
gi6ers
So who's going to send a begging letter to Groundforge?
Hinton
@Jon: That's what I thought you were talking about. Here's what Iwas saying could also be done (please excuse my crap drawing skills also): Not as detailed as yours, but it conveys the general idea.
