Jabberwocky
Here is my entry into the single fantasy category over at WoM. Suggestions on the shield in particular would be greatly appreciated. I wasn't sure how to highlight/shade it. I have seen plenty of pictures of the shield highlighted very nicely with NMM, but I wasn't sure how to do it with the way I painted it. supervike
Very nice. I saw this over at WoM and liked it there too. You had tough competition there, so don't feel bad if it doesn't place.... The freehand is cool, but looks a little sketchy....
Jabberwocky
I have no aspirations of placing, the competition was fierce. I am hoping for the equivalent of the random schmuck prize
vincegamer
Very neatly painted. Here's one suggestion for highlighting - too late, but you can try in future: First paint the shield white. Then paint the bottom half black. Grade shades of grey in the middle. Then paint whatever you want on top, but keep the paint thin.
Jabberwocky
After thinking on it a bit more, I made some modifications to the shield. I like the result.

Stupidcow
I have a suggestion for you which might add some depth to the freehand you did on the shield. Water down some grey, really thin it down and glaze over the shield from top to bottom, letting more paint accumulate at the bottom. This will create some depth. Just rememeber to go really thin and slowly build it up. Hope I offered more help than damage...
