Drake Farstrider
I posted this over at CMON, but I thought I might get some different peeps over here. Does anyone know if there are any Fifth Element miniatures or resin/viynl kits available? I would be very interested in either the Mondoshawan or the Mangalore. Oh and of course Leeloo. :dancing2:
Nathan Caroland
Absolutely LOVE that movie, one of the best ones out there and I always forget to pimp it, but I watch it all the time. Anyhow, here ya go. http://www.gforcemodels.com/gforce_kits/mangalore/index.htm http://cgi.ebay.com/The-Fifth-Element-Lee-Loo-SUPREME-BEING-Resin-Model-1-8_W0QQitemZ6031500712QQcategoryZ4249QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/The-Fifth-Element-Mondoshawan-Resin-Model-Kit-Alien_W0QQitemZ6032221415QQcategoryZ4249QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem That's all I was able to find but I'm sure there are more out there. Celtic Lilly
5th Element has always been under appreciated IMO. Fantastic story, great visuals and a kicking bit of humor that I really appreciated. Great kits! I don't think I've ever come across miniatures, but resin garage kits can be found on almost anything if you look enough.
Nathan Caroland
Agree with you CL about the movie, way under rated, great flick! http://www.monstersinmotion.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/15_177/products_id/6909 http://www.gunghoscifi.com/store/mondoshawan.htm http://www.timeslipcreations.com/Catalog_Kits_001.html
EricJ
5th element is quite good, now if only they'd redo the end of it which was sort of cheesy crap imo. Gary Oldman is particularly brilliant in it.
supervike
I agree! Like I said in the other CMoN thread. It was a movie I wasn't particularly excited about when I first saw it....but it was kind of like sex. It just kept getting better the more times I saw it... Drake Farstrider
Thanks for the links Nathan. Its funny I have watched the movie twice in the last 2 days. I just love it. Luc Besson is pure genius, I love all his movies. I think I have them all.

tzor
I thought the fifth element was a fantastic movie from the moment I saw it. It was one of those rare movies where even the people you don't like (and that in your face entertainment star was clearly someone I didn't like) was in their own way enjoyable. Lots of fast action, a lot of exceptionally deep humor, a lot of great combat scenes, and of course a operatic score that most human devas wouldn't be able to touch with a ten foot pole proving that there is a strange connection between punk rock and classic opera! All to set up for a most perfect cliche ending. Of course that does not mean you should dress up as the Fifth Element at Gen Con.
Drake Farstrider
What other movies did he direct? Here is a small list La Femme Nikita Professional (Leon) The Fifth Element The Messanger: The Story of Joan of Arc (Milla stars as Joan) Wasabi (A most excellent French film with Jean Reno in it) Unleashed (producer) The Transporter (producer) Kiss of the Dragon (producer) Here is a link to his full filmography. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000108/
LeadAsbestos
Well, I thought the Fifth Element was not so good. Like Star Wars directed by Elton John. Some good stuff, but just too camp for my tastes.

Yes...that is what I thought when I first saw it....but, on subsequent viewings, I became to like it more and more....Its the campiness that makes it fun!
