1 Mycellanious
Moderate, since Red Joker damage counts as Severe damage and Blasts do one step lower. Damage Modifiers do not carry over onto Blasts, so no +1 from Red Joker, Crit Strike, etc. 1
0 solkan
Note that whit the Red Joker, the official result of the damage flip is Severe (see pages 8 and 24 of the PDF, where 14 is the numeric value of the Red Joker) Quote The result of the flip will determine whether the damage is Weak (0-5), Moderate (6-10), or Severe (11-14)... So, addressing the proposed possibilities in order: 41 minutes ago, Blaugeld said: 1) they receive severe damage No. The Red Joker's "Severe+1" isn't an additional flip category. 41 minutes ago, Blaugeld said: 2) moderate damage + 1 No. If you're attempting to read the Red Joker's "Severe +1" as a damage modifier, it can't apply because of the last paragraph of the Blasts rules--it's a damage modifier applying to the main target of the attack. 41 minutes ago, Blaugeld said: 3) moderate damage This is the correct result. The Red Joker's Severe category is reduced to Moderate, and the +1 doesn't carry across. 1
