farmoar
Hello everyone. I am venturing into the world of magnetizing my bases for the first time. I used to use the hard foam from Battlefoam, but find that it just doesn't do the trick with Malifaux models. With the new bases coming with the 3e product, how are people magnetizing them? There doesn't seem to be enough room underneath now for magnets. I have seen some mention of using magnetic tape, but unsure if there is enough surface area for the tape to stick to the model well. Looking for any helpful advice, as a player who is tired of reglueing his models after every long trip... Thank you!
Scoffer
I use 10*1mm neodymium magnets with new 30mm bases - they fit well and are strong enough to keep a plastic model safe. My only advice is: don't glue magnets to the center of the base - it will be difficult to get your model from the box.
Nikodemus
I buy old style bases from ebay etc.. 10$€£ for 100+ bases including shipping. Just search for "30mm lip base".
