Does dmg from ranged shockwaves count as dmg from a ranged action?

Like the title says. Does the damage from  action shockwaves count as damage from a ranged action? The question came up in context with Snowstorms "Middle of the Storm" ability. It might seem like an silly and obvious question but I couldn't find a clear answer for it in the rulebook. If a model is targeted directly with a  action the ability would obviously work and reduce the dmg but with an  action that produces a shockwave marker that produces a pulse that does the actual dmg we were not sure how to handle it.

The shockwave and pulse are effects of a  action, the same way the duel and damage flip are of a normal attack.

Agree, but 1 extra note here, concealment and cover are only applied when the target is a model; shockwave attacks which doens't target models and just drop a marker aren't affected by those (the  is there mainly to limit its use when engaged)
