athelu
Hello all. I chose Ten thunders as my first faction, but loved the Sky Pirates box when I saw the preview. Finally decided to purchase and paint it. I will of course need to add more gremlin buddies to go with Zipp and his Sky Pirates
athelu
Zipp was pretty fun. this is the first time that I have ever painted fire. I also decided to go with a rocket like smoke effect where it fades from black to white. Here are some close ups of Zipp:

athelu
The first Mate. This was actually the first model of the crew that I built and painted. It was with him that I decided to stay with the stock paint scheme:
athelu
The Iron Skeeters. These guys are what made me fall in love with the Crew. The model is different than the art. significantly so in this case. I tried to stay with the stock paint scheme as much as the model would allow:

I actually wrote an article for the golden d6 web magazine (www.gd6mag.com) issue #11 on how I painted this crew. This was my first time painting flame and smoke.
