Doctor Dave
So, I have finally bitten the bullet and started painting the actual Gremlins in my Gremlin collection (rather than pigs. I like the pigs). I'm now curious, what sort of shade do people prefer on their Gremlin skin? I'm torn between a very primary colour green, much like GW's goblins, and a more muted, grey green tone, and wondered if people had any suggestions or preferences and advice? Poa
Mine are a bright, vivid green - the old Scorpion Green from the GW range (I forget what the newer name is). They're based with Scorpion Green, then washed with the Biel-Tan shade, then layered up with Scorpion Green, and highlighted with a 50/50 mix of Bleached Bone and Scorpion Green. Lastly a final highlight with Bleached Bone. Here's my Survivor conversion:
Doctor Dave
That is a very vivid green. I've gone with more of a grey/green in the end, but I was a close run thing
Mr_Unclean
I go with a pretty drab scheme: Citadel Waaagh! Flesh base, Warboss Green highlight, and Athonian Camoshade shade.
G. Footman
My brother paints his grey, mostly because he's colorblind too and thought gremlins actually were grey
Omenbringer
Mine are greenish brown (a more ruddy look). My recipe uses Citadel Base Paint Death World Forest (over a black primer) followed by Citadel Shade Seraphim Sepia. After that I pull out the highlights with Citadel Layer Paint Elysian Green.
