Positive twist to all Attack Duels

All Emissaries have the generic Upgrade which gives Minions a positive twist to "all Attack Duels". Am I correct in thinking that if you Attack a Terrifying or Manipulative model, the test for the Attack isn't an Attack Duel but rather a Targeting Duel or something? In other words, you get the positive twist only to the Duel where you are checking whether you hit or not, right?

Correct. The others are just duels generated by abilities (eg Manipulative causes the attacker to take a Wp Duel or the attack fails, etc), and aren't Attack Duels, which only consist of the actual opposed duel to see if the attack succeeds.

As an example, see how Focus is worded, and how it interacts (or rather, doesn't) with things like Terrifying etc.

They're Horror Duels and generic Wp Duels respectively.
