Would it be wrong to have moon shinobi in a zoraida crew all just dogpile a voodoo doll? lol I know it probably wouldnt work but the image is funny.

 

Sadly I dont own zoraida yet so I guess this is sortof a rules question as well, Does the voodoo doll only transfer certain conditions or does it literally transfer anything labeled condition?

Planning for her to be the next gremlin master to get and trying to sort of plan early.

Voodoo Doll transfers every Condition it gains and all the damage it suffers (up to its current remaining Wounds) as long as it is linked to an enemy model.

I assume you are talking about Tiny Green Fists of Fury Attack Action and its :crowTake a Sip Trigger.

  • Voodoo Doll has only 6 Wd
  • Tiny Green Fists of Fury damage spread is 2/3/4
  • the Action doesn't have :crowbuilt-in

This means that you have maximum of 3 attacks before you have to summon Voodoo Doll again and you are not allways going to inflict Poison +2.
The main trick with the Posion (and Burning) Condition is that at the end of the Turn target with the Sewn Fate Condition suffers damage from the Posion Condition that was copied to it and then the damage Voodoo Doll suffers from the original Poison gets copied as well.
Just imagine an ideal scenario where your Voodoo Doll has 6 Wounds and the Burning +5 Condition (which isn't a problem for Iggy). At the end of the Turn its target suffers 10 damage and the Voodoo Doll is alive, ready to be healed by Zoraida's Mend (Tarot Reading Upgrade).

Moon Shinobi are good in a Zoraida crew though - they aren't quite as card reliant which lets you be a bit more relaxed about spending cards for Obey etc.

Also if you take a Nurse which is always a great idea, you can use Downers on a Moon Shinobi to give them Armour +2 and :-fate to all duels, which becomes a :+fate to all duels.

Yes, you can. Zoraida has Enthrall Ability that reads: This model’s Crew may hire any Living model with a Wp 4 or less as if they had the Mercenary characteristic.
Nurse is a Living model with Wp 4.

She works really well without swampfiends. Gremlins have a lot of really nice Obey targets (Mancha Roja, Francois, Burt, all the regular heavy hitters, as well as Rami for two Focused shots per turn) as well as some really nasty conditions to put onto the voodoo doll (Sammy is the main one, but slop haulers can reduce Df, piglets can hand out slow and Mancha Roja can Mancha Roja at them)

Zoraida can make Piglets and War Pigs (and Rooster Riders as well) charge via Obey due to their Pigcharge Ability that allows them to perform the (2) Charge Action as a (1) Action. All that it requires is a 7 of any suit.

Oh, how do I envy Gremlins their pigs and Sammy LaCroix.

Lenny

Pigapult

(1) Slop Bucket (Ml 5 / Rst: Df / Rg: :melee1): Target suffers 2/3/3:blast damage and gains the following Condition until the end of the Turn: "Appetizing: This model's Df is reduced to 4, ignore all bonuses to this model's Df."

 

Trixiebelle

(1) Gremlin "Lure" (Ca 6:mask / TN: 12:mask / Rst: Wp / Rg: 18): Target model is pushed its Cg away from this model. If the target is a Gremlin, instead, it is moved its Cg towards this model and must end the move as close to this model as possible.

:crowNever Needed to See That...: After succeeding, the target gains the Slow Condition.

(0) "Buy You a Drink?" (Ca 6:mask / TN: 13:crow / Rst: Wp / Rg: 6): Target a model. The target gains Poison +1 a number of times equal to the difference between its final duel total and this model's final duel total.

 

Mancha Roja

(1) Grapple (Ml 6 / Rst: Df / Rg: :melee1): Target suffers 2/5/6 damage.

:tomeArm Lock: After damaging, the target gains the following Condition until the end of the Turn: "Fracture: This model suffers :-fate to Df duels."

:maskPile Driver: After damaging, the target must pass a TN 12 Df duel or gain the Paralyzed Condition.

 

Sammy LaCroix

(1) Voodoo Pins (Ml 6 / Rst: Df / Rg: :melee1): Target suffers 1/2/5 damage. A model damaged by this weapon also receives the Poison +2 Condition.

(1) Jynx (Ca 6:crow / Rst: Wp / Rg: 8): Target suffers 2 damage. Choose one of the following Conditions. The target gains the chosen Condition until the end of the Turn:

Twisted Fingers: This model may not declare Triggers.
Twisted Legs: This model may not take Walk or Charge Actions.
Twisted Mind: Friendly models which Activate within :aura3 must immediately take a TN 12 Horror Duel.
