MoonShadow7
Does the +2 defence bonus which a Guild Guard gain when there is another Guard within 3'' inches apply to any situation or only for disengaging strikes? Thanks in advance!
0 SpiralngCadavr
I believe it saying they're better at all defense, and get a [+] while making disengaging strikes.
0 The Godlyness
Making disengaging Strikes. Patrol: While this model is within 3” of at least one other friendly Guild Guard model, this model gains +2 Df and to disengaging strikes. But the +2 is always on as long as 2 of them are holding hands.
0 MoonShadow7
So if someone shoots one of the two guardsmen even if the guards are unengaged they have + 2 defence as long as they are 3'' away from one another, right? 0 SpiralngCadavr
Within 3", yeah. On disengaging, I'm not really sure on that one... I see the argument, but think it would need to be wordier for that to be what it does...
0 The Godlyness
Point is conceded. a disengaging strike is attacker only thing the defender is no no way shape or for making a strike. thanks kadeton. i saw what you wrote and had to re read things till i had an epiphany (which i did ofc) 1
0 Kadeton
I'd say it's only when making disengaging strikes, not when defending against them. If a model had a rule "This model gains to Attack Actions" you wouldn't assume it worked when making or defending against Attack Actions. A disengaging strike is just a more specific instance of an Attack Action. 1
0 MoonShadow7
So what exactly the Patrol ability does? Sorry for confusing you but I still don't understand clearly.
0 Adran
Patrol gives the guard +2 df. It also gives it when it is making a disenaging strike. This both only occur whilst it is within 3" of another guard 1
