So if raspy hits her overpoer trigger on decembers curse she can attack the same model again what if she is shooting into combat? If her initial target is an enemy model but she randomizes onto a gamin and kills it can she still use the trigger to attack the enemy model?

The rules on P45 calls the initially designated model a "temporary target" and the model who loses the random selection flip just "target". So it seems to me like the randomly selected model will be the target for Overpower, which means that besides being killed it could also be out of LoS when it's time to make the second attack.

Yeah, but if I'm right you have to designate the one that was hit by the initial attack as the temporary target before randomizing, so you have to see it.

You wouldnt have to randomise again as the thing you hit is dead the question is can overpower trigger and target the temporary target as that is who it was aimed at originally?

No. Overpower treats the randomized model as the target. So if that model is dead you won't get the extra attack. The good news is that you randomize before the duel so don't stone/cheat any  if it's likely to die.

Actually if the target is reduced to zero wounds the overpower trigger would go off before the model actually dies. cause you know its an after damaging trigger and happens before the model is removed. so the target is still there to be randomized on.  fun stuff yes?

This is correct.

Didn't think of that. So the only thing that can stop a second attack is if the randomized target for the first attack is out of LoS.
