hypoking
Has anyone ever tried Somer without Family Tree? (And no, giving it to Sammy is not what I mean) Word of god says Somer was designed as a summoner. Taking him without his principle summon would kind of seem to be a mistake under most circumstances. rgarbonzo
If Somer was designed as a summoner it wouldn't be on an upgrade now would it?
hypoking
Put it down to a wave 1 quirk.
rgarbonzo
I put it down to Wyrd wanting him to be something else and people in beta decrying the loss of summoning and no pigs to run... but whatever.
MVBrandt
Always run Family Tree, because it's the simplest way to lay blasts down into the opposing crew (target your own gremlins after they get lenny'd / trixi'd / recklessed up into point blank but not quite engaged range of whatever you want to double blast). Somer's been good to me lately running double slop haulers, 3 bayou gremlins, lenny w/ love it, trixi for all her crazy shenanigans, double skeeter for somer ability abuse (pmf, family tree, liquid bravery), and cranky for his various auras. Very, very strong on scheme, and even in Reckoning as has been hinted at, you are going to have turns that you can set up for getting the point, even if you don't get all 4, and a crew that can truly deny you strat points on reck against such a high activation count with a couple of hard hitting key models is going to struggle to keep up on scheme to actually net a win. Malal
You can't have Cranky and Skeeters if that's what you mean, and Trixie would pull the BG's towards her not push away
Math Mathonwy
double skeeter for somer ability abuse (pmf, family tree, liquid bravery)Skeeters cannot use Family Tree, they can only cast Somer's (0) Actions.
