  1. My progress so far: Finished painting Alphonse. He's got a big base to fill though, so I don't consider this model finished before he has something spectacular to stand on. @Maogrim I will post the complete crew once he is finished.
  2. My new year resolutions: 1: take better care of my brushes. 2: finish painting all my malifaux miniatures before buying new ones. 3: complete my current keywords. For January I will complete the wizz bang keyword by painting Alphonse. I will also paint the lucky effigy.
  3. If someone want to go for proxy models, I expect that the future Bayou Bash game, and the faction starter sets that were announced at Gencon, will provide some nice alternatives.
  4. Thank you for quick reply. But that also leads to a follow up question: Does the trigger of the controlled model instead end the activation of the model controlling that model?
  5. Some models have action triggers that end their activation, such as "lie down and nap" or "grab on". What happens if such a model is obeyed or is somehow able to take an action out of activation that triggers such a trigger to end their activation, before it has even performed its initial activation. Does it lose it´s activation for that turn?

    Piano Markers

I made these out of balsawood and some plasticard.
  7. New retro addition to my crew.
  8. Thank you for your clear answers. I understand this much better now.
  9. Hi, I have played Malifaux for 3 months now and are still learning the rules in depth. I think I understand how this works from reading the rules, but I am only 90% sure. On page 36 of the rules it says that if a model moves through several types of hazardous markers, the model suffers the effect once for each type. Does this also apply to overlapping hazardous effects generated by models or an area surrounding a model? Say a non-construct marker ends up in a pit trap (hazardous and injured +1), that happens to be within the hazardous vent steam aura of a mechanized porkchop. On top of that, there is also a scrap marker with an 1" hazardous and injured +1 aura because of sparks LeBlanc's hostile work environment. Will the unfortunate model suffer 3 damage and injured +2? I am not sure wether the scrap marker's aura and the porkchops aura count as a marker in this case. On page 37 it says: "Hazardous Terrain:After a model moves through or resolves one of its Actions while inHazardous Terrain, it suffers the effects of the Hazardous Terrain after the current Action orAbility is resolved (to a maximum of once per Action or Ability). Do the once per action or ability read as once per type of aura/marker/terrain as described for markers on page 36?
  10. Thanks! Here are some close ups of Somer as requested. I gave the base a little ramp to tilt his facing upward a little, so that his face show better on the playing field.
  11. I started painting this crew about 6 weeks ago. Before that I painted my first Malifaux crew, Mah Tucket, which I got from my brother for Xmas 3 months ago. I liked the models and rules so much that I have painted more intensively than I have for any other game system.
