very creative composition with the rope ladder. Beautiful work on the lighting effect as well. Well done!
-
I agree with Guildenstern -- the burn effect on the ground looks great. Very creative overall
-
Nice painting. I like the bright colors and the smoothness of the painting
-
Clever idea for the backdrop! Looks very striking
-
Awesome painting on Sonnia! Yes, the flames on the victim might be a bit unusual, but really, who's to say what a walking skeleton looks like when it's burning?
-
I am not completely seeing the theme, but great job on the painting, especially the blue highlight
-
Great entry, very creative! beautiful painting on the figures. Perhaps the bottom of the flames could have been a bit brighter for an even more striking effect, but that's being a bit nitpicky
-
I see the light on the edge of the base but wish it was a bit more pronounced on the figure as well. Neat job on the painting through
-
Interesting effect with the directional light on the face. You could probably have gone a bit darker in the grey areas for an even more dramatic effect
-
Great work in the figure and the burned holes in the fabrics
-
Nice set up. I agree with Guildenstern -- the light coming through the crack in the door looks great!
-
How creative! I love all the little details on the base with the mushrooms and butterflies. Beautiful job on the painting too
-
Love the atmosphere in this one. Nice work on the details, and the burning drapes look great

This looks so good! Is the fire completely painted? It looks like it's enhanced by leds and I love the effect.
Thank you! Yes, it's a combination of LEDs and painting. There's one light inside the dragon's head, and another on the underside of the base, and there's an acrylic rod between them for the light to travel in. The rod is also what is holding up the dragon. Then there are a few smaller light on the ground. The gradient on the ground and the highlights on the figures and carts are painted. I probably should have included a picture with the LEDs turned off to better show off the painted colors

Thank you, I appreciate it!
I had lots fun working on this, though I got a bit short on time at the end. I had 'snow' not only the base and figure but all over myself and my workspace too.
-
Outstanding! You really outdid yourself with this one Now I wonder, who are all those people in the photos?
Clever interpretation of the theme, beautiful base, and great painting on the figures.
Congratulations on finishing all five rounds of the Iron Painter!

This is a great figure, and you have painted it beautifully! Nice added details on the base too. Top notch!

Great entry! The idea is fun, and the figures are beautifully painted! My only critique would be that the inside walls and floor looks a bit plain and plastic-y compared to the great looking figures. But very good overall
Congratulations on finishing all five rounds of the Iron Painter!

Awesome job, especially on the troll. A very dynamic scene! Snow looks good, though there's not a ton of it. Top notch entry!

Well done! Very cool entry. The blue tones really give is a cold feel. I think my favorite part is the skin on the figure in the middle.

This is such a clever idea! A unique way to use a bust, for sure. Looks very good too -- I really like the leather, skin, and the snow and ice. Great job!

This is awesome! The weathering, snow and ice all looks great. About how big are those figures? They look absolutely tiny!
Congratulations on finishing all five rounds of Iron painter!
