  1. Surprised we don't have our own speculation thread going yet.. http://www.wyrd-games.net/news/2016/5/16/monday-preview-titania Don't forget to vote!!
  2. Been using Ama as my Henchman in Henchman hardcore, I think this is where she shines. Generally I have never had much luck with her, but she is a lot of fun in this format. Ama No Zako -Recalled Training -MisDirection Yin 10 T Bro Shadow Effigy Between recalled, terror living 13, hard to wound, into shadow and stones, she is hard to take down. 4 stones to call her own... Been using Miasma quite a bit, starting with-her stoning for the suit if I dont have it and flying into the center to catch most if not all of their models for free damage as soon as they activate. (Hardcore Turf War). The close deployment is perfect for Ama and Yin. anywhoose. -B
  3. Use Misakis Downburst on your own models. If you only have a few low cards to cheat, then choose whom you want to push and save those cards. I won my last tourney with Misaki pushing her crew via Downburst on herself. Its an ability I rarely see people talk about, but I find is key to how I play her. I use it offensively as well, but have had more fun pushing my toys up the board. As far as Izamu or Dawn Serpent thats a tough call, in my meta whenever the Drake hits the table he becomes the first target. My opponents have learned to fear the blast damage she can dish out. But its easy to surprise people with Misakis Downburst. I would try the Drake first, use turn 1 to set up your models leaving the Drake by Misaki, wait until he bunches up some models, then push the Drake via Downburst into range of that group and burn em out! Or you could use them both and just have minions fill the rest. I have another tourney coming up and im adding Yu to the miks, alot of movement shenanigans im going to abuse. -Bump
  4. lol is this a Monty Python skit... So, I can use the upgrade with no totem attached. Thank you
  5. cabaret choreography-->Trick of the hat Do I need to start with a dove/monkey to summon? it says, "this action may not be taken if the crew hired a totem other than the Mechanical Dove" 0 totems, is no totem, so its not an other totem....correct? ty -Bumpa
  6. Admittedly, I have only used him a handful of times and that was mostly for the pushes and fast via (WRM). But geezus, using him with Misaki is pretty....guilt inducing shall we say. +1 to hit on shooters if within 3 seems clutch. Its enough with his pushes, getting key models into position, whether to erase a baddy or for schemes or strats, it seems plenty to me. Others are also perpleksed as well by no charge and maybe a single MI hit unless pushed by someone else, but I think hes balanced as is and he does quite a bit in my games. I am liking him more and more as I use him and seeing how he could become a crutch of sorts and end up in most lists. keep working him, use his focus mechanic, try all the upgrades on him, hes pretty stellar. -B
  7. Also, does there have to be markers to use mighty gust? It didn't read like that was a condition of it to me, but I wanted to be sure.
  8. Or Misaki's Downburst is another way I have been doing this pre and post Sensei you! -Bumpers
  9. I actually run Misaki a bit and have only recently been using Shang and found her surprisingly useful. Rush of magic is bigger than I had anticipated (that and a stone per hand is 3 cards) and if you save Shang for a final action the heals are crucial for Misaki, at least as I run her. I would also echo all the models above. I ran her in the last tourney and won, the list I ran was; Misaki (5 stones) -SB -RT Izamu Katanaka Sniper 10T Archer Lone Swordsman -RT 2-10 T Brothers I use Downburst in a similar way to how others use Sensei Yu. She is very independent and encourages running of models that are similarly inclined. As has been stated before she is a good master to run new models with to see how they function with no support. **I rarely build around schemes/strats, I usually have a list/models I want to try and go from there. Seems to be the way of my meta actually** all the best, -Bumpers
  10. Yes, but as I stated above, I was thinking of something like the BF, where nimble is generated at activation and you still have it after tossing the upgrade. thanks. -Bump
  11. try using semi-precious stones as markers. I went to my local gem and rock shop where I purchased 10 pieces of carnelian for about 3$. very small, about the size of an eraser head. Whenever I lite something on fire or get lit up, I will place a stone nekst to my dood or theirs so I remember. I also have some small clear polished quartz I use as chi markers, some purple amethyst I use as Soul Stones etc. I had the same problem with remembering abilities and such. Even to this day using stones, writing with dry erase on my cards and setting upgrades right beside the model card...I still forget. When the battle is joined... -Bump
  12. I read that as a tactic on PMF many moons ago, but for some reason my brain always says; "dood...2 attacks is better than 1 silly" not sure on statistics of it, but I should do it more. mbbe she would be better with Shen Long...
  13. I have been trying to work in that 3/5/7 damage spread she haz on her MI. Only thing she doesn't need a suit/stone for... Maybe I try her with Mccabe/Sidir///promises --pushes--, Ama/recalled. ...seems pretty devastating if you can connect. just love the model and want her to strike fear into the hearts of men....and sorrows...and nightmares....and
  14. I agree with this mostly...he needs that additional movement to get him into playing position so your not having to burn your wander (0). First thing I have learned to ask when I run him is who are the opponents enforcers and henchman (YSNSAS), then I choose one for him to target. Its still difficult to get him there so im going to try him with Indiana McCabe for the pushes and will try to keep him in the Promises bubble with Sidir on stand by for By your side. (he will have Recalled) Im not planning my game around it per say, but want to see how many reactivates I can get out of him if the rest of the game flow will allow it. Obviously Shen Long/Sensei Yu would provide this as well. I have been getting better with him by using him on a flank and moving him up the board with cover dropping scheme markers on his way up then going all out turn 3. I have only gotten the reactivate a few times but it was brutal when I did. -Bump
  15. Evening gents and lady gents To be frank I love the model, my best paint yet, black highlighted up to alien purple. bean running her continuously to figure her out.. I realize the errors usually lie on my end of the cribbage board, but I am having difficulty finding her 9pts well spent. Only bean running her with Yan, tried aggressive, tried flanker, tried scheme runner, tried terrain maker...she dies well, early and often. seems to be very hungry for my small pool of stones. curious as to how my fellow malifites are using her. all the best, -Bumpasses (never enuff time to bump them all)
  16. Thanks gentlemens. I had suspected as much but at times I have been mistaken with regards to language on cards. -Bumps
  17. After some painful losses vs Dreamer and non stop Stitched and Gamble your life... Putting down Yan for a bit Picking up Mccabe and was reading all of his upgrades. Does Strange Metal Shirt stack? its a (0), and since it can be tossed by the Wastrels, thought it would be a nice way to bump their survive ability if they tossed to each other. Just not sure if its the effect or the (0) that is lost when tossed. I remember reading an effect is generated at activation (i.e. nimble for Black Flash)... thanks, -Bump
  18. Perhaps try targeting the Drake with Chiaki's spell to gain chi for her or to pass it along. I have been doing it early on to get the chi train moving and have been trying to set her up to use Pull of the Grave. The Drake is surrounded by CA actions in my Yan lists so I just heal for the 0 with no problems. The funniest thing is that people never see the Soul Porter chi popcorn machine charge coming..."He's a peon!!?? he can do that? His reach is what?" -Bumpasses
  19. Well old boy, I'm not sure if that is an auto correct, but 3 Oiran? 1 seems like too many, I have yet to find a spot for an Oiran. If I could put it into a joke fer ye; "A young blonde woman is distraught because she fears her husband is having an affair, so she goes to a gun shop and buys a handgun. The next day she comes home to find her husband in bed with a beautiful redhead. She grabs the gun and holds it to her own head. The husband jumps out of bed, begging and pleading with her not to shoot herself. Hysterically the blonde responds to the husband, ”Shut up…you’re next!” shooti'n yerself in the foot I says. -Bump
  20. Chiaki is always there when I take Yan. I rarely take her slow upgrade though as I never get the chance to use it. Shes too busy healing, condition removal, pushing, throwing chi around or dropping markers. That and the soul porter which I have been running really aggressively with that 3" reach and MI6" and built in chi trigger, he has been stacking chi on yin and Tosh making them much better casters. Just had a game today actually with Yan, was really fun one against the Dreamer. Had Tosh upt to 3 chi and Yin up to 2. Was casting whatever I need to hit. Yan won 9-7. -Bump
  21. Yan Lo -Focus Chi (at the start of this models activation, this model may discard a card to gain the following condition until the end of the game: chi +1...) Chiaki --Innocence (When this model activates, it may move all conditions from itself to a friendly ancestor within 6" and LOS. My question is regarding the comparative language. Yan Lo's focus chi must happen first thing before you do any thing else with him Chiaki's isnt as clear to me, does hers happen at any point in her activation? a time of my choosing? ty -Bump
