  1. Rough Riders are way to fragile and it seems most good players I know agree with me that they look decent, but just never perform very well. Botanists on the other hand synergize with what McCabe is already doing (removing markers to hand out upgrades) so you can power them up quickly.
  2. The S&S play group has a Explorers playing ranked pretty high in vassal league, so using his lists as my reference point. He likes Prospects, but never seems to actually take them in his lists. As for the Emissary, he thinks its a mistake and prefers double Cryptologists + extra Eyes and Ears.
  3. Hey folks, I could use some help on my Building on a Budget series of videos for S&S. The idea is to follow these guidelines: 1) Make a competitive list with some flexibility if possible 2) Limit the initial purchases to 2-3 boxes (less is better) 3) Focus on Keyword models followed by good Versatiles 4) Generally avoid non-faction models (except those in master box) and taxed models The color coding is -Green are first purchases (required or highly recommended) -Yellow are second tier purchases to really tune your list -Orange are third tier purchases that will improve your lists flexibility -Red are optional purchases if you want them (the rest of the keyword and versatile models) **5-14-21 UPDATED LISTS**

  6. Weird Science seems a worse box then Rooster Riders for filling out a crew since test subjects are only 4ss (so 12ss filled vs 21 filled). So in keeping with the "as few boxes as possible to start" The riders seem to be the better purchase. EDIT: After looking at it and multiple people saying to go Test Subjects, you do have plenty of purchases to fill out the list that way.

  8. It's was a good game, I just lack experience with Zoraida and it showed. May be time to solo her for a couple months.
  9. Hmm....So Explorers are in the app later today, does that change anything or we past the due date? Waldo Article Link
  10. What's the word now that the Explorers' pdf is available digitally? Opponents can share cards if needed, or still waiting for app?
  11. No problem. And yea, its working fine again.
  12. Last update made the app unstable for me and it now crashes when trying to change a crews name or when trying to search by words. I'm on a Pixel 3A android v11
  13. Just started messing with OBS and honestly it's really easy to use imo. Then again I come from a technical background.
  14. I agree 3 models can often be better especially if you are playing a control game, but they can also be a liability at times (public enemies or card discard effects that are easy to trigger off a a terrible stat 4). And yes, a golem is bad vs condition removal, but you avoid it if you know the opponent like Shenlong can easily remove it. Also what if they have plentyful access to anti-armor, but no condition removal? Anti-armor doesn't get through fire damage reduction in those cases....so yes, in general you are correct, but its not a universal truth.
  15. Sure, but this is being designed for new players who are picking which keywords they want to start playing the game with.
  16. Depends on what playstyle you going for. If you need higher impact attacks to force through, the Golems are better then the gamin. The fire golem also has more reach then the metal golem unless you have access scrap around for rail walking.
