  1. I'm just outside London and could also be persuaded to come into town for a game sometime. I'm a bit too far to easily get to Croydon, but I've visited the new location for Dark Sphere and while they are still getting everything unpacked and organised, it's a great space and the staff were really friendly.
  2. Bonus points if you can somehow include biscuits on the bases! Or if you're going for tea/teapots then clearly it has to be a Very English Crew. Rule Britannia, Pip Pip and my old man's a mushroom and all that.
  3. Well as someone who's glued themselves to the table/mini a few times I'm probably not the best person to help! But with regards to the fiddly bits (ooh-er) I've found that clipping them on a lipped tray helps to keep all the fiddly bits from falling on the floor. I'll be watching this thread with interest for any other clever suggestions
  4. Saw the news on Twitter - congratulations and I hope everyone is doing well!
  5. I got lucky with these - I hadn't got round to painting my Ophelia crew or slop haulers before the new cards came out. What I did was to look at the background colour of each card and use that colour in the mini somewhere. Like for the Young LaCroix I matched the hat band colours to the background colours. But I can definitly agree that it's tricky to remember which card goes with which mini - especially with piglets!
  6. Taking inspiration directly from Tara's fluff in The Dead of Winter, you could always have a go at recreating the stone maze. There might also be a way to rig sections of the wall to spin on an axis, like secret doors. Could be fun chasing other minis through a maze like that! For Collette you could also have a go at an abandoned theatre - broken lights, glass everywhere, costumes etc. Maybe even a trap door in the stage? If you felt REALLY creative then you could always go full Phantom of the Opera and style it on the Parisian Opera House, all gold and red velvet. And maybe even a Phantom's Lair underneath the theatre! Von Schill strikes me as something of an organized ex-military guy, so maybe a training camp? Tagets, weapons, maybe even target dummies around the place. Oooh or an obstacle course, netting, tyres/obstacles on the floor, walls to climb over. These all might be a little OTT but hopefully there are some ideas that will inspire people!
  7. Sadly not anymore, I moved home after I finished uni. I'm just outside of London now, so a bit too far for a weekly game sadly!
  8. Thank you both for the replies - it's nice to know even my poor blonde brain can get stuff right on occasion! Also Photo, you're in Southampton? Awesome, I went to uni there and loved it
  9. Hi guys, My partner and I are looking for a bit of clarification on an ability of Pere Ravage (and a few others but he's the model that raised the question.) He has the trigger ability "Critical Strike" which requires a :rams in order to get it off. The attack action taken before this is "Burn Stick" which has no :ramsbuilt into it. The trigger states "When damaging the target, this attack deal +1 damage for each :rams in the final duel total." The way we are reading this is that it only applies to the card you use in order to win the attack duel. So if you originally flip a low :rams but then cheat in a higher card from another suit then there is no extra damage. But if you win the attack duel with a :rams then you get the extra damage. Are we also correct in assuming that cards used in the damage flip after the attack duel is concluded do not count towards the final duel total? Many thanks!
  10. I was lucky enough to get a Tara Nightmare set recently which I have been unashamedly drooling over for about a week. Still have NO IDEA how the hell I'm going to paint them though. I'm really new to the whole hobby, not just Malifaux, and I've only been painting since earlier this year. I'm torn between dying to paint them and terrifed I'll mess them up lol. I also got some more minis for my birthday last weekend, I got a metal SoC to round out my Viks crew as well as a set of piglets, a set of stuffed piglets and a gremlin txidermist to almost finish my So'mer crew. Painting backlog reaching critical mass in 3...2...1...
